If one is killed unjustly, then we give his heir authority to enforce justice.
Thus he shall not exceed the limits in avenging the murder, he will be helped."

Going by the number of innocent civilians being slaughtered in Gaza...
I suspect that a lot more people now have good reason to avenge the murder of their loved ones !
(Incidentally... I'm not religious.
I refuse to associate with any religion that puts itself above God !!!)
