I think it's a fine piece, very atmospheric. If you're a fan of this pianist in the big standard repertoire, which he does extremely well, it might take a bit of listening to get used to the modern idiom. I'm listening to not only the piece, but the intelligence, sensitivity and respect that Andsnes is approaching it with -- and trusting him to get it over to me.
