  • Awesome, honest, super video. Thank you VERY much.

  • I am diabetic and I realize I am depressed. Maybe I need a diabetic boyfriend who can take this journey with me :(

  • i am 13 and am a type 1 diabetic, have been for 9 years, i suffer from depression.

  • Dude, Im 48 with type 2 and I consider myself a glass half empty guy, I have also took meds for years for clinical depression. The thing is, Ironically, is that I dont get down about my diabetes. Why,,,,well first of all, there just isnt that much difference in 1st place and lets say 5th when you look at the big picture. Life is short even at 90 or 100. One out of One die. Lots of young people die every day from accidents. SO.....I say,,one day at a time, and dont give it much thought.

  • @TheWhopman thanks man for the comment and thoughts. FYI - I have moved all of these videos to @blogdiabetes and will be removing them from here shortly. Thanks again!

  • WRONG.

Being male is a greater predictor of dying young from stupid decisions.

    Not diabetes.

  • You can live a normal life expectancy with diabetes as long as you maintain good control. See a diabetes educator who will help you live a normal life!

  • This post isn't really about life expectancy, it's more about how diabetes can drag you down and lead to depression. As far as the life expectancy goes, I don't care if it's one day or 10 years - having diabetes will cut your life short even with good control. Thanks for the comment!

  • Thanks for the post!! It is very helpful!
