i work at a marcus now too! we used to have only CEC theatres in my area, so marcus is pretty new to me. but let me tell you, whenever i go to the movies now i hum obnoxiously to the current policy trailer:) haha

Do Marcus theaters actually have curtains? That would also make them free of the pre-show ad crap that plagues most theaters these days.

I remember going to a movie at a Marcus back in the mid-late 90s, and they used curtains to signify an opening. I still go to that theater, but they do not do the curtains anymore. (I believe they had like radio-like ads through the speakers back then) but yeah they do play the "pre-show" crap now (I would agree with you.)
