@saintpk in USA..... ground school is 6-8 hours. You get 3 jumps with 2 people holding onto you, 3 with 1 person, 1 with one person jumping out with you, and then 6 more with someone who follows you down and you do whatever you want.

So you can get your own rig and jump solo within a week if you really wanted.

i STRONGLY do not think tandems are a good first jump.....doing your first jump as a student is prob 99x better... cause what you learn in a tandem you will not use on your own.
