Hello I brought this great car, just want to thank the seller for selling it to me. Started to do a frame off restoration on this great all original car 17 months ago almost done, I will never find another one like this all original matching numbers never been touch car.
@415jaypee a frame off restoration is when the car is completely disassembled to the point where the chassie is off of the body therefore making it easy to clean it up along with the rest of the car. it is a very costly and time consuming job especially if you have a body shop do it
That is my favorite year of Chevelle. Not only that, it's my favorite car in the universe. I'd prefer that rusty old think over a brand new Maybach any day. Call me crazy, but...
column shift, hub caps and air conditioning.... most likely the 325hp version. I kick myself all the time for letting my 69'SS go. I loved the auto with ethe floor shifter. Other drivers pulling up to the left of me never saw my hand on the shifter, but they got a great look at my tail lights. :)
it was cool to see it with the original paint....what a time capsule. That 396 was most likely the 325 horse model. The idle was too smooth for anything hotter
Thats just cool.Talk about a sleeper.

Repaint it the standard color and leave it as close to stock as possible. Remember, nothing puts you back in the seat like a big block chevy!!

Do NOT paint that car. Do what it needs to keep it going, but don't paint it. Patina is where it's at.
