Actually, every review helps, and they are reviews and should be used to HELP decide whether a movie is worth seeing at full price or wait 2-3 months for DVD, or just not bother. It's an opinion to be weighed, the more the better. Let's face it, every trailer out there presents the "best" of the movie - it's HYPE, nothing more. You disagree with the reviewer here but offer no specifics as to why you thought the movie was good. Just slams. Yahoo movies also had many so-so and bad reviews of it.
yeah but those reviews were wrong. It was a good movie. The problem is you and your so-called critics think your the authority on what a good movie. Well you're not and because of bad reviews from garbage like that, good movies end up getting bad reps. It would be better if you and those critics just kept your nose out of everything your efforts are not wanted and they're not appreciated.
mr. reviewer, may i suggest you go to yahoo and type in "Get Smart" and once you're there, read the yahoo users review of the movie. If you thought the movie wasn't funny well if you look at the review they gave, you'll see that not only was the movie good for a laugh, so was your review.
Actually, he's being very generous to a movie that has nothing to do with the original "get Smart", it's creative comedy, Don Adam's delivery, or the sattire on '60s spy action. As for reviews, just go to the web site WOULDYOUBELIEVE - you'll get a nice listing of professional reviews (most of which are a "C" or worse) for the movie, some history and thoughts on the movie/show which seem to have had more time invested into writing it than the screen writers spent on the plot for this movie...
Excuse me? Generous? His idea of being generous is freely giving reviews to people that have no need for his opinionated bullcrap. As for that website you mentioned, if those jackasses think the movie was bad then they should spend more time invested into doing something else cuz they don't know jacksquat about what a good movie is.
No,the underlying problem is this. Why spend all the licensing fees for Maxwell Smart/Get Smart if you're not going to take advantage of it? The original series was the comedy work of comedy Mel Brooks and the show was a parody of '60s Spy Films. This film is a formula action movie with simplistic CG enhanced "prat fall" gags using catch phrases from the show. That formula has been done too many times over the years and much better! Carell can't come close to Adams in plausibility or delivery.
Well duh! Who said he had to come close to Adams to make it a good movie? I mean WTF do u want the movie makers to do? contact Adams from the dead? Maybe ud like them to contact the other producers on the show just so they can give it their blessings. Seriously it's punks like u and that reviewer that don't belong here. Ur like today's wrestling fan, u don't have anything better to do except pick at everything. Do u even know how to enjoy a movie or do u train urselves to be that pathetic?
Hence my point, why bother licensing the film as Get Smart if your not going to take advantage of the license. If your going to make an action movie, create a new character. If you chose to use an existing license, you're going to draw comparison. Enjoy movies? Sure I do when they are worth the time & money.I'll go along with the majority of critics and say the movie missed its mark. I'd rather have spent the money on a season of the original on DVD. Thankfully, this movie is making that happen!
Well the last time I checked the majority of moviegoers loved the movie and since they outnumber the majority of critics, it proves that you and the critics are full of crap.
Many people also paid to see these movies:"Ghostrider","Poseidon","Dukes Of Hazzard","Speed Racer","Bewitched","Wild Wild West","The Invasion", and "Meet The Spartans". Had they listened to the critics, they could have been spared-LOL! However, I do agree that the number of moviegoers does out number critics. BTW-I noticed that box office returns for the movie this past week were off by negative 48% and it hasn't broke even yet. "Missed it by that much"
Well they certainly didn't need critics to tell them how those movies would turn out. All they had to do was look at the previews, gather information about the movie, and look at how it was promoted, and what exactly was being promoted. In other words, they didn't need input from commoners like you, all they needed was common sense.
Fartfuldodgersite you and those critics are like a pair of tonsils. You all need to be removed cuz all you do is make people sick at a bad time. The only reason you're there is to show us the other side of the coin but from what I'm seen, your reviews aren't even worth a coin.
"all my reviews?" - I haven't reviewed anything! Just voicing my agreement with this critic's statements as well as those in Newsweek, Washington Post,TV Guide, Rolling Stone, LA & NY Times, Variety, HW Reporter, Time, WS Journal & Chicago Tribune (to name a few). I thought having a civil voice is what YOUTUBE is about. It's not worth debating this if it's not going to be done with maturity (i.e.-the "F" in the name). Let's just agree to disagree and leave it there. It's just a movie. Cheers!

The moviegoers statistics are based on?
