You can also ride vehicles as well, but shadow runs so much faster and they're usually useless as well, as you can't enjoy the high speed of the game. And finally, What ticks me off the most, is that I enjoy the story more than anything, but in levels, usually when a character speaks, if you just zip through a level you can't enjoy it much because thier speech gets cut-off. Sometimes it's not important, but it just irritates me. Overall though, a great game with lots of action.

This game is a controversial. You either hate it or love it. No in between. My opinion, It's a cool game with a few mistakes. Shadow's use of guns is unnecessary, but fine as it changes things up. The fact that he curses every now and then, also unnecessary but fine too. What kills it, is that in every stage, you can find 5 hidden keys to open a secret door, which usually has something useless behind it. Your reward for all the trouble looking through every nook in cranny in a level for them -_-

@TFgamer101 Already did. It was EXHILARATING! I bought it in GameStop and I got an amazing deal I got to awesome games Sonic 06 and Sonic Unleashed fucking awesome. Shadow the Hedgehog is the best game I ever played, better than Donkey Kong 64, Ocarina of Time, Half-Life 2 Episode 2, and Halo 3 combine. If you ask I'm being sarcastic, well sir you are wrong.

It's because the concept/plot--fine, rather great actually. Even the crazy 'riding vehicles and using guns' is just a little fun twist, acceptable really, but the execution was just horrible. They could have just used the same system as Sonic Adventure 1 or 2 and it would've been better. Gameplay, just how it was set up, was lacking. That's all in my case. I totally accept the story line and CG scenes, those were fucking killer.

This game was awful.

Not because of bad controls and camera; reviewers just can't play anything where you aren't a bald space marine. This game sucked because it was boring; all the guns did the same amount of damage, so you got no sense of causing damage, and the graphics look just barely passable for the Gamecube. And don't forget the PS2 and Xbox versions, with shit framerate and crashes respectively.

This is just plain wrong. How the hell does a standard GUN pistol do the same amount of damage as the Shadow Rifle? It doesn't. Then you've got the missile launchers and the Satellite Cannon if you want to see stuff blow up. I'm curious: Have you played through every stage and gotten every ending? In order to even SEE all the weapons available you had to have done at least that.

I haven't played "Shadow" but this kind of "darker and edgier" approach seems so unfitting to the Sonic series. SA2 is better, but that's because the dark tone was moderate while still being (almost) in line with the series' overall style.

@nintendoguy360 No, it's because of the shitty graphics, horrid dialogue, boring gameplay, and the random guns that really didn't serve a purpose in the game. The only thing this game has going for it is the multiple endings, but even that's half-assed. SEGA said that they would make a sequel if this game was well-received. Do YOU see a Shadow the Hedgehog 2 out there? Guess why.

It's alright though, for the most part the Sonic console games between Heroes and Unleashed are allterrible.
