I watch the show for two things; Daryl and Zombies. I wouldn't be quite as invested in the show without Daryl. The day they kill him off will be a very sad day indeed.

I really admire how determined he is to develop Daryl into a 3 dimensional character, especially because he has no comics to draw from and they originally intended him as a simple, angry redneck. Netflix has the first season. I was surprised by the quality of special effects and make up in this tv show. Not very common. I suspect it costs a lot of money to produce it.
