  • awesome scene

  • foreshadowin there with orlando @ 1:38

  • I wonder why Omar waited so long to shoot Avon. He could have shot him right when he walked out the club.

  • Remember when Omar told brother Mozone "Even if I miss, I can't miss". Guess it didn't apply on this night

  • I know this is a tv show and all, but how could Wee Bey possibly have page him that quickly without a cell phone. He should have known that was suspect.

  • I love Avon, but he shoulda been killed like 5 times during the series. This scene, the scene when Chris shut up his car, and a few others I'm trying to remember.

  • AVON easily one best characters on TV

and pretty much every character on the wire is too

says a lot about this show

  • Gotta love Wee-Bay's appearance, "Ayo, they had cheese fries baby, I got you some-!"

He went from his relaxed disposition, instantly into killer mode. Also, gotta love Omar's "damn!" when he got shot and Avon's reflexes man, you can tell the King was a soldier once.

  • Look here, Omar. You come at the king, you best not miss.

  • yo did u see avons face lmao if wee bay aint show up avon wuda been dead

  • "be a little slow, be a little late"

  • Wee Bey vs Chris Partlow, who ya got

  • @chibidi0 give me Bey all day...Chris was tough though. Bey just was thorough!!

  • ayo lesson here omar, you come at the king, YOU best not miss.

  • Avon almost got got that night I mean Omar was this close to ending it all.

  • omar suck dick. fuck that bitch.

  • aint it crazy how one of the most gangsta characters was a faggot

lol man wire is crazy miss this shit

  • Omar always said "Omar has no fear" but you can feel he´s scared in this scene and some others too. I think this shows us that everyone is human

  • @bernabemido That's right.

  • @afromikko Thanks alot.

  • What J Live song is that? Please it's killing me.

  • @arctor87 "Nights Like This" from All of the Above

  • wow, shitty shooting omar.

  • @maxinator3000 nigga you would be distracted too if you had cheese fries staring at you.

  • @maxinator3000 Not really his form was right wee bey just out shot him.

  • everytime a major character in the streets is shot or shot @ that same car alarm goes off everytime

  • This scene shows Avon's experience. He may be the boss who sits at the top now, but he used to be on them streets capping niggas like any other soldier. He duck and dove as soon as he noticed that shit wasn't what it seemed cause he knew what to expect. He duck right in time too just before Omar fired at him.

  • i guess 1 person had a good day lol

  • yo what episode is this from?

  • @MrBboyflawless season 1, episode 9

  • Using that pay phone was a stupid thing for Avon to do. The cops know he owns that club which is located right opposite it.

  • Ironically, Omar comes at the king, and misses.

  • How many times did Wee-Bay and Omar get into these gunfights? It always ends up with one of them holding a shot limb behind a car.

  • @ThatUJohnWayne Twice, Omar shot Wee-BAY and Murdered Stinkum the first time. This was the second and last time the face/off because Omar shortly after this left town and when he returned Wee-Bay was locked up

  • @ThatUJohnWayne just twice, i'd say they're even after Omar got Bey in the leg

  • Look at how scared Avon was, he hasn't been shot at in a long time..

  • Yeah We bay - hit his ass with one shot

  • When Omar and Brother have that stand off and Omar says something like "Even if I miss I can't miss"....Brother should have reminded him about this like "Uh remember when you had the easiest jump on Avon and still couldn't even cap him?"

  • @moogledr Different range, different caliber ...

  • Watch the video where omar shoots down stinkum...

Both these scenes coincide with one another, very intelligent writing and performance from 2 of the best characters...Omar and Weebay.

Watch the and see how they link, its amazing

  • @Secret911 So true. this season was off the hook

  • Wee Bay is a true soldier nigga was quick 2 bust da way he jumped out da whip and just let off like nothing and even got Omar nice. U see da thing i hated about Omar was as soon as he saw he had a challange he ran off like like a bitch

  • @reyfuego360 Wee Bay also smart enough to tell Avon to stay in cover.

I think it's very telling in this scene about Omar. Normally he's intelligent and sharp but his emotions got in the way and wanted revenge badly. then he runs away because he realized he fucked up and is reduced to needing help from the police.

  • "At this range?..Even if I miss, I cant miss".....He missed.

  • What's the song playing at 0:30?

  • @bachaka61 The song is by J-Live, its called "nights like this"

  • Pay backs a mutha fucka aint it

  • Holy shit look at Avon dive!

  • ' Weebay was a true and consummate leutinent.'

'who the fuck would wanna be that if they could be anything else?'

    wee bay's own words

  • Not a well thought out scene...Omar had Avon dialed in...no way he should have missed at that range...Talk about a easy hit gone wrong. Cops should have been chaulkin' Avon up right there. The writers should have at least had an obstacle in Omar's way..that would explain why he didn't cap him when it was easy.

  • @WiseGuy5674 yeah i was about to say the same thing. omar could of killed him twice from that range and with that amont of time.

  • @WiseGuy5674 For Omar it was personal so he wanted to be up close when he did it. Weebey showing up hastened the plan as well as forced him to deal with 2 targets rather than one. Both those factors combined with darkness could be reasons for his poor shooting. Plus I can't think of one time Omar has taken someone out from further than 8 feet.

  • @WiseGuy5674 Wee Bay pulled up just as he set his sights, that could well have broken his concentration

  • @Prem488 , Avon's crew was the illest in the whole series. And thats right. these batti boi faggots can all die slow. Classic Bay----> "Fuck it then. For another pig sandwich and some tater salad I'll go a few more."

  • @bdoyle23 if u gon quote it get it right. he doesnt say pig sandwich, he says pit sandwich. thats that B more bullshit slang for some kinda special sandwich upthere. i thought it said pig also til a nigga from BMORE corrected me

  • @Prem488 , Avon's crew was the illest in the whole series. And thats right. these batti boi faggots can all die slow.

  • Bay gets a little revenge on that faggot so they even. one in the leg, one in the shoulder

  • Ooooh Avon got lucky

  • Comment removed

  • Why didn't Avon try to find out how Omar reached him through his pager? Surely he would have wanted to know.

  • @ChampionRogerFederer Yeah I agree. I wondered the same thing when Chris and Marlo took out Prop Joe in season 5. Only they did it so Marlo could take over the drug connect with the greeks and the co-op. Omar even threatened to tell Marlo that it was Prop Joe that put him on that card game he robbed.

  • Is this the only time Omar got shot in the whole 5 series

  • @scaredmonkey yep, but he got Weebay too when he killed Savino

  • @scaredmonkey i mean Stinkum

  • @scaredmonkey Kenard Season 5.........

  • @scaredmonkey You probably know it but there also was a shot that killed him.

  • man apparently cheese steaks and burgers only take 10 seconds to make

  • and Cage and Soillaquist of sound sounds. I am just now discovering this show. a fucking mazing shit.

  • Watching The Wire for the first time.. They use J-Live tracks.. instant win.

  • omar and weebey had to shoot outs, each one hit the other in alternate fights

  • wee bay...i didnt relise until i re watched the whole of the 5 seris....just what a top man he was....he didnt give a fuck for any1 or anything.....he and omar shot at eachother twice..with no winner.....i know who the winner wud be if they met up in jail though

  • fuck avon moves fast

  • Omar went for the king and missed

  • "Eeyyy They had cheese fries baby, I got you some" The look on avons face like "oh hell naw" was priceless. surprise surprise

  • season 1 was definately the best season

  • if shit was going down, Wee Bay that boy you want by your side........

  • @MrBillz81 or if you were thinking of setting up an aquarium.

  • @MrBillz81 Definitely. Him, Omar, and Brother Muzoune.

  • Barksdale clique got the tightest shottas, weebay, cutty and slim, I would say that if they were still on the street by the time the marlo took over, chris and snoop would have been dropped quickly.

  • Season 2 wasnt boring. The tale had to be told about the docks and how shit gets in. Avon and Stringer aint have no boats..They were small time compared to the Greeks and the Russians.

  • totally agree. even though it wasn't as action packed and entertaining as the other seasons, it was important because the Greeks at the end of the day are the top peoples...

without them binging the food in, the likes of Avon, marlon, prop joe and all the other street king pins can't make all that money, there would be no game...

  • Hell even thou Avon's the leader the look on his face at the end of the clip sez it all.

  • I think season 2 was one of the best. People commenting on season 2 sucking obviously don't understand the point of the wire. The creator always says the show is about urban America using the city of Baltimore as an example to show why everything is so fucked up. It's not meant to be a show about drug dealers

  • @sawbuck225

I agree season 2 was a slightly different topic to the rest and thus some people think it's a little of topic, but it's hard t understand the deprivation that fuels all the crime without exploring the decline of industry and poverty and insecurity it created. Frank Sobatka's comment 'We used to make shit in this country.' Could be America's epitaph.

  • @sawbuck225 so what. second season is way less interesting than s1, and the writing is obviously weak in comparison; the introduction of brother Mouzone is one example of this. s2 was the worst of the five no doubt (closely followed by s5). s1 is simply top-notch from beginning to end.

  • @tikahont omar's rampage in season 5 was sick

  • @tikahont ARE YOU KIDDING? I thought 2 was great. The reason why I think lots of people disliked that season because it was based more on the docks than inside the hi rises. Now personally, I disliked season 5 because 1) Omar gets killed, 2) Bubbles gets clean, 3) The Newspaper scene was boring as hell, and 4) McNulty turns renegade.

  • @sawbuck225 I feel ya, but still most of us like the part about the hood and the drug dealers the best. Still love The Wire though, the greatest show ever. Avon and Wee Bay are my favorite characters.

  • @sawbuck225 Yeah, I thought season 2 was great.

  • People I know that the wire is for entertainment , but the jewels that season 2 offered were the best of all season. Not to say that the other season did not have wisdom they did, but you really have to pay attention 2 season 2 classic shit!!!!

  • j live had his album played all through this season. Good album too. all of the above

  • gotta admit as dope as avon is it would have been tight if omar capped him here

  • season 2 the weakest season but its still part of the series... it just has to much of the docks

  • Season 2 the weakest? Why? Cause it had a white cast? Cause it didn't have as much gangster street shit as the rest? Season 2 actually the realist season to me. The lack of jobs being lost for blue collar workers. Some shit that pretty much going on in America today. People being out of work. Plus season 2 introduce The Greek, Vondas and Sergei who is relevant later on in the show storyline. The reason behind the Co-op. And the reason behind Stringer's death.

  • has nothin to do with white cast... season 1,3 & 4 just have more depth

  • Actullay season 2 was more indepth. It went beyond the streets. But you have your opinion but was more real than season 3, 4, and 5 to me. I just got slept on the most.

  • only good about the season 2 is you learn about the greeks... to me season 3 is the best because introduces more characters and it shows while stringer and avon had there differences marlo took over becuz he has all his people in check

  • definitely agree. season 3 was by far my favourite...

  • "Season 2 the weakest? Why? Cause it had a white cast? " .......YES ! The dock story line was a total waste of time and could have been omitted. It wouldn't have been missed. I honestly felt the producers were trying to pacify some HBO execs by bringing in more white cast members. BOREFEST ! The Greeks could have been used...ok... but that dock union stuff was nothing more then fast forward material on the DVD. There have been tons of flicks about white people in unions struggling. Enough.

  • @avonbarksdalewife I concur, season 2 connected the dots for all the others. My favorite seasons, those docks with them Greek or fake Greeks. GOOD SHIT!!

  • So close!

  • im on the tenth episode of season 1 and i think its the best show ever created PERIOD. jus wanted to know if any other season is as sick as the first one cause season 1 so far is too much

  • yeh season 3 and 4 are amazing. There arn't any weak seasons imho.

  • my favorite one is season two. brother, you are in for a treat...

  • All the seasons of The Wire are good except for season 2.

  • season 2 is awsome.

  • I think season 2 is boring cause almost the whole season is about Frank Sobotka, his family and the docks.

  • i agree with candy paint. It was the worst season of the wire. It needed more drug slinging, bodie and omar. Im getting all of em from netflix and im midway through season 3

  • Season 2 of The Wire was good except season 2? Explain that please. If it wasn't for season 2 explain a lot of shit that lead up to season 3, 4, and 5. Season 2 was actually more real than 3, 4, and 5. But it was there to show how everthings connect.

  • season 1 is usually considered the worst season. so you'll probably like the others just as much, if not more

  • By who?

Season 1 is arguably the best one. It's the most densely layered, and has a very different feel to it than later ones.

  • idk most of the people i know say its slower than the rest, but ive only seen 3 and 4 so i dont know for sure. thats just what ive heard. depends on what you like i guess

  • they are all brilliant..if u think season 1 is great ur in for a treat..it just gets better and better

  • Avon coulda had a day like Stinkum, his was a lot worse....

  • i love wee bay.... hes the only mother fucker other then that lil punk kenard to ever put a bullet into omar

  • The Barksdale Crew fell apart without him. He was an OG soldier and he woulda made a HUGE difference against Marlo's crew.

  • who knows what epsiod is this

  • its dah last one of season 1

  • Season 1, Episode 9

  • Season Five episode 2

  • There isn't gonna be a new wire idk where u got that from

  • Omar always gettin in fucked up situations where he gets shot or gets someone else shot. Think about it

  • My working theory is that he's running around shooting at people who might shoot back.

  • Wee-bay is straight up gangster you would want him on your team !!

  • no doubt. Wee Bay is trill with a capital T. His only problem is that he's a lil hardheaded

  • "hardheaded"? what that word mean?

  • And that he's a piece of human filth serving life without parole. But, I like the character.

  • Some great acting there. The look on Avon's face at the end there is pure fear.

  • I hope, they make a Wire movie with Michael as the new Omar and Kenard as the new Marlo.

  • it would make sense. they're characters were almost identical, except for the fact that Michael was a bit more quiet than omar.

  • This was partly down to Prop Joe -- remember that when Marlo tells him to close his eyes, it all swings in roundabouts baby !

  • Seems unrealistic, how's Omar gonna miss from that close?

  • Watch the scene he drew his piece early because he saw Wee Bay coming & Avon did a John Woo dive to avoid the shots

  • But he already had his gun in hand when Wee Bey pulled up. Given Omar's skill, I'm sure he still could've hit Avon.

  • Comment removed

  • CuSeToWnHuStLa315 -

Why webey didnt miss at close range and omar did what was the difference ? What would of made omar hit Avon at close range ?

  • lol Avon dived before omar even shott....and Bey showing up at that MOMENT threw him off....my question is why is Avon dont have some sort of pistol on him :l you a kingpin, u gotta stay strapped...

    iLL .

  • Cops was on him badly. Any move and he would have given them excuse so he couldn't be strapped ya feel me.

  • Avon was the boss, and he already had WeeBey, Bird, and others doing the dirty work for him. So Avon didn't really need a gun, and if he did have one all the time, there wouldn't have been a "The Wire" because he would've got years. Similar to the end of the third season when he was caught with all them guns.

  • Haha weebey is greedy as hell. "They had cheese fries, I got you some!!!" haha

  • can you blame him? cheese fries are awesome

  • @Cinchino2K i dont get whats greedy about that? please explain.

  • love this scene along with the death of stinkum.

  • Omar was the best!

"i rip and rob"...."i robs drug dealers"

  • how do you miss that chance omar...lol nah but avon ma dude so im glad he didnt get him there

  • bey tore off and popped dat nigga in his shit!!! lmao...my nigga!!!

  • Aye they had cheese fries baby, I got you some!!! Wee Bey gets excited over food.

  • haha i love wee bey. the man does love his food

  • Bey a straight soldier. Limpin into battle and shit!!!!

  • Yep, Weebay was the most loyal soilder in the whole series.

  • And Bodie. Weebay and Bodie was them dudes. Real talk

  • chris was also very loyal to marlo

  • @Cinchino2K

    not more loyal then snoop

  • @MikefromMadrid snoop never did time for marlo weebay did

  • @Cinchino2K , Chris' charachter was molded in Weebay's. Thats why at the end of the show you see them standing together in prison.

  • When you come at the king you bet not miss

  • WEE BEY!

  • oh is that when kima got shot

  • how did orlando get got?

  • muhfucka wanted to get in the drug game, and wound up sellin to an undercover cop. the cops got him to set Barksdale in a fake drug deal...but the Barksdale's knew better....they shot up Orlando and almost killed Greggs....

  • webay the man i love him he rolls up right quick and puts a hot one in omars shoulder

  • Cunning way to fish Avon out, but man, why not bring a sawed-off for this job? Then use pistol as backup.

Just part of the show I guess.

  • Might have had the sawed off with him, but Weebey interrupted, and so he had to use his pistol, which has better accuracy at that kind of range. No doubt he would have used the shotgun if 'bey hadn't come up when he did.

  • why would he use a sawed off if hes goin to kill a dude. shotgun has to much bark and and the pistol is easier to handle

  • True, but the sawed off is the weapon you see him with in the majority of the scenes.

  • sends a message 1 shot to head.... UNDERSTAND boyyyyyyyy

  • yea then that little ass kick got omar in the back of the head at that 7 11. sad shit.

  • you could def see the fear in omar there

  • Wow, Bey the only one to throw down with Omar one to one and injure him. weebey get mad props for that! Any other nicca would got slain by Omar

  • They had cheesefries baby,I got u some.

  • The real Avon actually made appearances on the show as The Deacon who helped Cutty find work and who gives Major Colvin advice. his name is Melvin Williams.

  • yea he was featured on BET's "American Gangster" too

  • Melvin Williams
