  • Great lay out. I have a lot of memorabilia for 2008 election.

  • Gorgeous layout but why would I want memorialze America's most recent mistake into my albums? :P lol

  • It's important to me to scrapbook major events in my personal history, my nation's history & the world's history ~ anything I've lived through that I might want to remember how I thought and felt down the road. In my opinion, just because an event isn't positive, doesn't mean it isn't worth remembering. After all, I never did say who I voted for in that election ...

  • I know you said you use the gold tape in your ATG. Which size do you use? the 1/2 or 1/4 inch? I am thinking about getting an ATG just because they seem more economical. I just go the new Glue Arts dispenser and have already gone through 2 rolls in only 2 weeks.

  • I have the 3M Scotch ATG 700 {the yellow one} so I use the 1/2" wide tapes. I buy the 3M Scotch 908 Gold tapes in the 1/2" width and 60 yard length in quantities of 12 from an online store called Framing Supplies. I've always had wonderful customer service from them. I think the ATG is more economical than the GlueGlider and also seems like it has less waste.

  • More inspiration! Thanks again for doing this! I really like how you use a variety of different embellishments.

  • You're very welcome ~ thanks for watching & commenting! I do like the texture and dimension that a variety of different embellishments gives to a page & of course they're just fun to play with! :D

  • I loved seeing you do a layout! I've recently started scrapbooking and love it...so I enjoy seeing others do it. As for the fan issue, I may as well comment since everyone else has. Some people that have severe migraine issues can have one triggered by simple flickering such as the fan produces. I'm sure nobody would want to miss out on viewing any of your videos ever...not even with the fear of getting a migraine! :o)

  • I'm so glad you're enjoying the layouts and videos & welcome to scrapbooking! It is very fun & addicting!

  • I love it! I have been looking for paper to do my mini election album, all the paper I found was too bright but that looks perfect! Thanks so much for sharing!!!!

  • Oh, I'm glad you liked the paper ~ I think this line is very fun to use! :D Have fun creating your mini & I'm so glad you're enjoying it so far!

  • love it

  • Thanks!

  • Hi Kathryn...I LOVE this layout, especially because I voted for President Obama. I have to tell you that having the ceiling fan on DOES NOT distract me at all. I am sooo focused on you doing your work that my eyes are ALWAYS on the table so I DON'T MISS A THING!!!

    Can't wait for page #2!!!

    Have a great day!!

    Michelle from NYC!!

  • Hi, Michelle! Part two should be up before the end of the week! I'm glad you're enjoying the layout ~ I thought it was important to do, so I'm glad I was inspired by a July 4th layout to break out my patriotic papers and do it!

  • lol...its true i have noticed the fan ! but its no biggy and i love this layout by the way !!!! like always .... !!! cant wait for part 2:D

  • Thanks a million! :D The next video will be up by the end of the week & I am glad the fan is not a huge deal!

  • I always enjoy seeing your videos! Just wondering if you have ever used the bind-it-all by ZUTTER and if so, can you do a video on that one! Love your ideas and originality! Hope all is well. Susan

  • I do own the blue BIA and I think it is an excellent machine {very well made} although I don't use it all that often because of the size limitation. My books are usually too thick to be bound with the BIA since it's maximum thickness for any book is 1". I do own it & I am sure it will be making an appearance in a video some day!

  • Looks great 5 stars :)I love yr videos

  • Thank you so much ~ I'm so glad you're loving the videos! :D

  • Yrwelcome have a great week take care :)

  • Awesome, as always!!! You are just so talented! =)

  • Thanks! :D You're very sweet to say that!

  • This layout is amazing! I might just have to steal the sketch of it for an upcoming layout of my zoo trip or the move we just finished. You are a very talented scrapper and I can't wait to see the rest of this layout as well as all the other amazing things you create.

  • Thank you very much! I'm glad you were inspired by the video ~ the next part should be up before the end of the week!

  • So beautiful!! Can't wait to see the 2nd part!

Do you scrap by sketches you made before?

My Layout's take me 2-3 days sometimes!

They are harder for me to scrap, like as a mini book or so! lol

  • Thanks so much for watching ~ I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

Normally I don't scrapbook from sketches, but this particular layout was inspired by another scrapper's layout/sketch. I listed the info for the inspiration video in the description for this one.

  • I LOVED seeing the fan reflection Kathryn... it made your videos real! And I swear at times, it was as if I felt a cool breeze while watching your videos. It could have been me commenting on the fan, but never complaining! Hope you know that! So... bring the glass mat back girl... I couldn't live without mine, and it was because of you that I got one! And just so you know- I have a fan above my table and sometimes I try to pretend that I can scrap as well as you! By the way... great layout!

  • The glass mat will be returning, Joyce, never fear! :D The original commenter was very nice and understanding, and I have been working on a way to have the mat but minimize the distraction & I think I've come up with a good compromise, so it's all good! And you are an amazing scrapper! I love your monkey album SO MUCH! :D Thanks!

  • very cute I can't wait to see part #2!!

  • Thank you! :D I'm glad you're enjoying it! Part Two should be posted before the end of the week!

  • Great page! Just love it. The ceiling fan never bothered me, I'm to busy looking at your great projects!

  • Thank you ~ I'm so glad you're enjoying the videos! :D It's nice to know the fan is not a huge distraction for everyone & I'll do my best to minimize the impact and keep good videos and projects coming!

  • I always love watching your videos!

I have never even noticed the ceiling fan in the glass mat (WTH?). Wow, some people notice the smallest things! Gosh, I guess we can always find something to complain about!

  • I'm so glad you always enjoy the videos! :D The original comment about the fan was very nice and very understanding about how hot it is here. I will try to minimize the fan by only having the glass mat on the desk while I'm using it & that will be a good compromise. But thank you very much for posting ~ I appreciate your support!

  • Love this!!

  • Thanks! :D I'm so glad!

  • great page layout but it is hard to watch the video with the celling fan going , x maybe record your videos with out it ??? unless its really hot with your lighting for filming ? but i love your layout

  • Yeah, it is really hot. I live in Miami & the scraproom is the hottest room in the house, so I would die without it I think! :D But I think I have found a way to minimize it by only having the glass mat on the desk while I'm using it & then taking it away afterward!
