  • How old is retro?

  • I remember all of the things on this video. life was a hell of alot better in the 80s and 90s. The cars were alot better too, i remember bunking off school to go to the local Ford dealer to look at the new Ford Sierras in the showroom in 1992. I left school in 94. I,am 33 now and i feel old. Great video.

There'll never be another generation like ours.

  • @MrJayel27 I agree, fantastic vid and we were the last generation before mass internet access, true mass communication and the insta-culture kids take forgranted today, I know it makes me sound like an old moaning coot, but kids today don't know how good they have it with there instant downloading mp3s and access to whatever they want whenever they want.

  • great video the memories came flooding back thank you so much

  • Damn I see some similarities from what we had in the States back then, but we didn't have clear Tab we had Crystal Pepsi in like 92 I think, Of course bright socks were in colorful boots and candy sandles kind of thing, alot of Dock Martins got sold in the 90s, vans, puma and converse all stars. Hrm Daisy Fuentes and Beavis and Butthead. Then of course there were the uncool Preppy kids who wore those stupid sweater vests over teeshirts, I call them the blue ribbon club.

  • well done liked this video with the music ahh the memories lol i can honestly say i never wore dayglo but loved the girls wearing it

  • Dogtanian >>>>>>

    cartoon of epic proportions...

I swear that sheep puppet was called morag or something.....that show that gail porter used to do on sunday mornings...

  • OK So the whole audio thing seems to have been resolved by WMG putting a link in to buy the music i have used. I wish i could get a cut of any purchases but hey im just glad to have the audio back on. ENJOY

  • Such a shame they have removed the sound from this, it was one of my favourite videos.

  • @superfly00700 Sound is BACK ON t

  • I was dragged aroung 'Superdec' alot - and Findus Crispy pancakes were the height of culinary achievements!

  • Hey! White dog poo still exists on Orkney. It`s true. My sister sent me a picture of it! XD

    Bravo!

  • Whigfield knocked Love is all Around by Wet Wet Wet off the top of the charts. It had been there for 15 weeks. There are things I would like to do to her that are illegal in most US states.

  • They never bother to warn us not to wear our shellsuits on bonfire night any more, do they?

  • who is the woman who "took over a whole summer and annoyed the hell out of every parent on earth"?

  • You must either be older or younger than the targeted demographic? That woman is Whigfield, she scored a number one summer record in 1994. its her singing that song in the short video clip. Hope you enjoyed the rest of it.

  • This video reminds me of my childhood....

And no, that's not a good thing...

    :P

  • omg your so on the money with this vid, born personaly in 79

  • That was sooo hilarious..thank you for posting it..i was crying with laughter..i was born in '82..and yes i do feel old now!!How funny!

  • Fantastic Video...although I am more born in the late 60's/Early 70's I can still appreciate it. 'Tin Roof...Rusted!', for your information is slang for an unwanted pregnancy, originally from failure of a Dutch Cap but now more generally by any method. The B52's at first denied it meant this and then acknowledged that it meant that, but that they didn't use it for that analogy in the song. The singer claims she said it ad-lib and it stuck.

  • Hated white dog shite, I remember picking some of it up an tryin' to chalk with it, I put my fingers in bleach and I could still smell shit days after...uh!! dirty white dog poo!!!

  • Im dutch, and I was born in '83, but it was a entertaining vid non the less.

  • that model sega was 1990 !

haha douche, thats my century ^^

  • and before anyone qoutes me on this :

it says the UK in 70's to 80's right?

First available JP October 29, 1988

    NA August 14, 1989

    EU November 30, 1990

so tecnically its 1990 when it was in england. hmm.

  • You are right. thats actually the mega drive 2 as i couldn't find a picture of the original one. However the title of the video is 80s AND 90s memories so technicaly i was right to include it.

So nuh nuh na nun nuuuuhhhhh

  • didnt see the title when it was posted on facebook.

didnt notice it said BORN at the begining, thought it said late 70's and 80's inthe uk.

  • omg yh castaway, had to be castaway n diamond white with black straws lol a straw in each bottle n both in mouth at same time n then onto the mad dog

  • Great life flash there thanks!....i didn't drink K though, what is it? It was Castaway and Hooch for me!!!Make us another video with Coca-cola yo-yo's,fish and chip crisps and those crap luminous wrist bands! yeahhhhhhhhhh :o)

  • awesome i love how you put this together its wicked. Does anyone remember those crisps in the shape of pigs n they were hollow inside?? I used to loove em n can't remember wat they were called but they were ace xx thanx xx

  • Yes i do!!We had them for tuck! And they had chicken ones too!!!Don't know what they were called!!

  • yea i lurved this video its so cool

definently brings the memories back especially 20/20 mad dog and the cheap ciggies coming out

coll video well done hugz xx

  • BRILLIANT. I remember all this and creme eggs were definately bigger I don't care what anyone says!!!

  • As an american

  • yea... lol the white poo! Where has it gone!!! i never see it no more thats so bizzare! No i like your vid... however as a technical criticism only... it need tightening up... the graphics neet to move a bit faster... crisper.... then your onto a winner!

  • hahaaa! great vid white dog poo!!! but tis true were has it gone? lol i remember doin the saturday night dance at partys thinkin i was great lmao. class vid!!!

  • thats soooooo good your a star. fair play you nailed it NICE ONE

  • white dog poo was the result off bone marrow in dog food when the sun dried it out white dog poo great for chalk for hopscotch

  • this is ace i was only tellin a 16 year old the other day how a friday night consisted of 10 sky ciggis and a bottle of red 20/20 got me wasted. white dog poo??? where has that gone??? its true i cant find any anywhere!!! funhouse was all about the go-carts at the end!! what a superb video

  • Aaaaaaa ! Mad Dog 20/20 White never red we would say. A pint was right for a Friday night. Had me trippin' long before I knew about LSD. lol

  • Funny! Nicely done sir : )

  • Great video.Thanks :)

  • grow up tithead

  • Very very funny, but if only you'd spent more time learning how to spell when you were at school! Don't bother asking one of those 16 year olds though. I think txt speak is their only language.

  • Honestly if you spent more time reading the other comments then you might have an answer to the spelling remark you made. Thanks for the comment.

  • Easy mate. The vid was great work.

  • LOL Nick I get a bit pissy after the 50th comment about the spelling mistakes in the Vid. I uploaded it before proof reading and then the laptop that had the original went pop. So I have been unable to rectify the issues. I think I'm more annoyed about losing my laptop really!

  • Really enjoyed this vid. Thanks

  • great vid. well put together....memories...

  • Wicked ! Captured it brilliantly. Thanks.

  • Cool video.

  • you sir, are a genius... ;-)

  • Oh dear god I am indeed getting old!

    Brilliant!

  • this is so true about the mc donalds being a treat. lol. excellent vid.

  • very good vid... but would have been better if you'd sorted out some of the spelling!!!

  • I have covered the spelling issue many times. If you bother to read the other responses you would know that!

  • Thankyou for taking the time out to put that together. Worth a watch!

  • Hee hee! CLASS!

  • oh and does anyone remem grape 20/20 that was the best i used to get served that by a dear old man in the local offy when i was only 13/14 he thought i was 21 HAHAHA

  • Loved the Mary whitehouse Experience reference! Everything is 100% spot on, perfect!

I'm a club/party DJ at a popular resort and i play love shack 6 nights a week. It's burnt into my brain (and i still don't know what she says!).

Also, was that Gilbert from 'Get Fresh'???

  • Indeed it was Gilbert from Get Fresh, Ah Gaz Top, You know he married that lisping bird with the short spikey hair that was always on console game programmes. Violet Berlin. Thankyou Brain. Glad you enjoyed

  • I never knew that! They sort of suited each other now i look back at it.

I've just re-watched it and still saw stuff i forgot about... Top one!

  • Timmy Mallet was the man! Bring back Wac-A-Day!!! Thanks for that, I'm depressed now!

  • Thanks....A real trip down memory lane....Fantastic!!

  • Yes, dog poo was often white (or grey), but why? This is what is bugging me. I think we should be told. Was there some popular dog food back then that isn't used now? I seem to remember adverts for dog food that boasted that they contained lots of calcium. Was there enough to send poo white? I must know. Some things are important.

  • It was back in the day when people didn't pick their dogs shit up and it just baked in the sun for week apon week. I miss white dog shit.

  • Spot on. Only suggestion i would make is I can't stand Love shack!! so i had to put it on mute!!... Should have let Gina G play instead or played a megamix of ol' skool tunes
