  • i thought he was speeding the video at first

  • How many hands has he got?

  • OMG if kraken for the pirates hurts, then this would kill me! BUT I STILL WANT THE F TUTORIAL I LOVE THE MUSIC!

  • Wow, that has to be painful for your fingers!!! OMG!

  • Oh My God...This guy is amazing, it looks like the video has been sped up or something.

  • which transcription is this?

  • @xsznix Its Vladimir Horowitz transcription. by far better then Liszt's transcription.

  • BRILLIANT!!!

  • You're sure this is not Volodos who putted a mask? Incredible.

  • @Pianobelgium no because I think volodos plays it even better than him but also good performance of Tae-Hyng Kim :D

  • What number is he playing?

  • atmosphere in korea piano competitions are so cold.....

  • oh my god.

    outstanding performance

  • Magnificient!!

  • this is the way that this should be played...simply amazing :)...i love this song, specialy the orchestra version

  • simply amazing! His technique is flawless. He places rubato in the perfect spots. He definitely understands the piece. Only drawback is that the acoustics in the room make everything seem blended.

  • Absolutely superb. It took me several months to be able to comfortably play this on the organ. Bravo to you, Maestro!

  • This is a mind bender when you play it with four, let alone solo. Some piano's secretly want Tae-Hyng Kim to play them, like cars wanted to be riden by Steve McQueen. ;)

  • Epic Win there... That peace is hard enough to do with a group and to play almost all the major peaces alone? Epic. Yes some parts can be a little overboard but still, overall it was great!

  • sublime.

Chapeau l'artiste !

  • omg i love this! he is playing it alone too! that would be so hard to do... inspiring

  • Brawo!

  • @bobhenrico you're SO right!

  • You people need to get a life and stop being so critical. I bet most of you can even play the piano at all!

  • you mean "can't" even play the piano at all?

  • epic!

  • wow.. he is playing the piece alone..

  • masterpiece...

  • I don't agree with Sdorr. Sdorr, I can see that you are a racist who look down non-white people. How can you keep living in the States under the rule of the Blcak President? You should immigrate to hell.

Such a racist cannot understand the profound depth of classical music.

Well, as Mr.Kim lacks many musical things (as you insisted), you toatally lack personality, reason, warm-heart, humanity, and brain. Your head is the full of shit. Get lost!

I hope you racist to be cursed!

  • except he wasn't trained in 3rd world country... no wonder many asians change their name to anglo last name

  • i really hope you aren't a teacher. we don't need another racist teacher in this country.

  • I think you are a defeatist in your racism.

His playing is incredibly beautiful with his deep musicality, techniques as well as his profound understanding the music.

I really never agree with you.

    Can you play like that?????

  • I agree. It's an excellent performance. The acoustics are lousy though. Sdorr can't tell the difference between that and pedalling.

  • Ogden and Horowitz are pure poetry

  • geeeeheeez.

  • I wish this was recorded in higher quality. It is definitely one of the most promising recordings I have heard on youtube.

  • He is amazing!

  • 1:00 looks like a fugue

  • Most compelling performance of Horowitz's arrangement! Loved the nuanced, playful counterpoint and the ferocious, infernal crescendos.

  • anyone know if this is the liszt orig transcript or the horowitz?

  • Wow. Awesome. Nicely Done. Too bad the entire piece was not recorded. Mr. Kim, You are Korean but where are you. This is one of the best Pieno renditions I have heard. No go and play it on the YounDong Organ, JongNo 5-Ga. Have some real fun. Very nicely done, the phrasing and dynamics are sensational.

  • does anybody has this as a mp3?
