@TheKnightmareAngel It's called Perceptual Tuning. The only reason you perceive the Japanese voice actors are better are because you watch them in Japanese with subs. It's the same reason readers get angry at the directors when a movie is not like the book. In reading, you create a better image of emotion than the reality. deithard was one of my favourites, Its strange how he was most loyal to zero, even accepting his geass when schneizel told him about it. but betrayed him the most. I guess his true loyalty was with the creation of history.
@TresBS1 actually Light also want to create a peaceful world like Lelouch but the only differences is that he want to rule that world but in the end he was consumed by evil... and you know the rest. Kind of like:
In the start: I'm the god of THE NEW WORLD
End: I'm the GOD of the new world
Overall Light wasn't really that bad... at least in the start, Light is my bias so I have to somehow defend him, hope u understand^^
this was a screwy battle,the way it was going Schneizel shouldve won.it was obvious that the volcano which had huge reserves of sakuradite would be used by Lelouche who always uses his surroundings,also nobody wore any geass protection.also Lelouche so easily anticipated everything Schneizel would say even the duration of his speech,and i dont get why Schneizel didnt just fly away anyway
On the other hand, I wonder... Lelouch had all that big talk early on that it was "his plan to overthrow Brtannia before he got the Geass". How was he planning on going about that?
Light still faired pretty well even with his memory erased. He banked on either living happily without memory, or achieving victory and becoming Kira once more.
@Momentum139 Lelouch planned on overthrowing britania the almost the exact same way he had done throughout this series just without the use of geass. His geass power just simply really sped up his process because although his geass play a key part in everything his intellect and cunning were the two biggest elements
@kinglouis1993 I understand that, but saying that is a lot easier than doing it. An AU manga showing how Lelouch's gambling would have tied into him taking over Britannia would be interesting.
R2 really had me thinking Lelouch's character development was sinking further and further down into "prison bitch" territory. But other than his queer bravado as Zero, I'll give him the advantage that at least he faces death nobler than Light ever could.

@TresBS1 There is truth in what you are saying. However, I found it ironic that Lelouch says in the video, "Your willingness to let yourself be killed is exactly what has led you to be defeated."
@catsheri1 I look at as Schneizel was willing to die at any moment for his cause which can make you reckless. Lelouch decided to die for his cause when it would benefit his goal. Both were willing to die, it's just that Lelouch went about it in a way that fit into his plans.
@TresBS1 Not exactly. In the very beginning, Light had, just as Lelouch, wanted to create a better world for everyone. But the Death Note's power drove him crazy more 'n more and after little time he became exactly as you said. That's where Lelouch is the better one. He didn't lose his head to this enormous power he got.
@TresBS1 agreed. I had high hopes for light. then I noticed he was getting more and more tyrant and sick every episode so I kinda felt different when he died. but Lelouch was and always will be the best true hero. the fact that he accepted that he was taking lifes and doing some wrong here and there he kept going because he knew it would be worth it for everyone. a sinful mastermind yes. but as you pointed it out. he had a heart
@TresBS1 Even so, Lelouch became arrogant after he killed Charles. He wanted to show the world that he was playing God and that there wasn't anything anyone could do about it.
In that respect, he was smart and strategic. He was able to cause a revolution up until the very end. Light thought once he had killed L, it would all be over;
@KarmaPolice2011 It wasn't to show that he could play god. He took it upon himself to become the enemy of the entire world. An enemy the world would unite against. Lelouch is arrogant, that is true. But he has not inkling of a god complex. He's a commander, a strategist, a manipulator and a deciever, but he's never once thought himself a god.
@bakugancollecterZ makes sense. they have absolute power in their empire. not like any government present. top of that they have about 2/3 of the world in their hands. also including the fact that they are wining against another super power during the series called the e.u. so it makes sense.
@heart9856 A life without change is has no deviation, which is a routine. The more you follow a routine, the more expirience you gain in doing it, but since there is no chance of variation in the routine the expirience isnt needed.
@heart9856 Change is what makes life interesting. Life without change is not life at all. It's on moment going on forever. Therefore it may be classified as merely an experience. A collection of experiences defined by change is life. One stale static experience is not life at all. Hopefully that sort of makes sense.
This is not Lelouch, or Zero. It some BOY in white 'king' garment. This is a shell of the REAL Lelouch, this THING in this video is some counterfeit - fake that has no personality at all what so ever.
Just shows you how much dubs sucks, so lifeless and dull its boring as shit. I only watched this video because for some odd reason it was in my 'recommended' list. I had a good laugh though. For those shitty weaboos and wannabes out there, you will NEVER know the true version or enjoy it.
@LeonScottKennedySama if you don't like it, then don't watch it; unlike you I like this dub. I mean I doubt you will find a better english dub than this.
I kinda wish I hadn't watch it. But I did. I cant 'unwatch' it. unlike YOU I like the original, which is 10x better than this recycled garbage they call dubs. Weeaboos will always hate and fellow native speakers and REAL fans will agree with me on this.
@LeonScottKennedySama What is an anime fan? Someone who likes anime. You have no right to judge someone just because they have a different preference than you. Seems like YOU are the true hater. People like you are the reason the anime community is so full of morons. Your ruining it for everyone. BTW, a weeaboo is someone who has an unhealthy obsession with Japan to the point that they believe their japanese. And face the facts: If dubs didn't exist, none of us would no about anime.
You have no right to judge either. I believe you did it in your last comment. Don't get butt hurt that someone doesn't agree with you. I stated my OPINION and you jumped all over it whining and crying and bitching. A true hater.. its not hate its disgust, totally different things. Actually people like YOU are the reason the anime community is full of morons. You guys miss out on alot of information and such, since you know dubs are TRANSLATED from the original.
My first post was too long so this is the 2nd part to it. Who said I'm ruining it for everyone? Who? HOW am I ruining it for everyone? Just because I posted my opinion about it on the net I'm somehow ruining for the whole anime community? Its actually the other way, you guys are ruining the original community, you guys are very hated here. You guys butcher names so badly it hurts. To your dubs didn't exist part; I never watched DUBS.
3rd part to my post. I never watched dubs (except time to time nowadays in youtube videos and whenever someone uploads a nico video doing a comparison on raw original vs subs. YOU don't understand Japanese, YOU were never born there, YOU may never have had of anime because you live in X (country goes here) but I knew it about it, its part of MY CULTURE.
@LeonScottKennedySama "Just shows you how much dubs suck". That's what you said. As if what you say is fact. You are the reason the anime community is so hectic( Do I see a pattern? O_O). If a dub isn't 100% PERFECT, you complain nonstop. Jun Fukuyama makes Lelouch out to be some 40-year old, which is the case for most japanese versions, it's either WAY too high-pitched or WAY too low-pitched. JYB portrays lelouch much better.
@LeonScottKennedySama 2nd part: Watch Baccano, Cowboy bebop, and Hellsing in English. If you can still say that all dubs suck, then you shall officially be out of your mind. And if you ARE from japan, like you claim, how are you able to type fluid english with perfect grammar? Explain that!
Holy shit! Thanks for the compliment! I came to Miami at a young age and now I live in Canada. I doubt I have 'perfect grammar' and such as you say but I'm pretty fluent in English since I grew up with the language, not learning it as a study. I CAN say ONLY COWBOY bebop has a couple 'decent' VA's but everyone else is the same. I never watched Bacanno, and I dropped Hellsing after watching a couple episodes (when it aired) I never got into it.
@LeonScottKennedySama Your welcome, good sir! WAIT...I sense sarcasm. Quote Ganon: "YOU MUST DIE!". Did you see the bad Hellsing or the good Hellsing, because there are two different Hellsing animes.
Actually no its not sarcasm, I've lived in Northern America (I'll just say it this way instead of US + Canada) for 17 years of my life. I can't remember if there was a bad or good Hellsing because I only watched one 'set' of the episodes before stopping.
The Japanese dub > this, by a large margin. Sounds too old? Some of the characters in the english dub sounds like little children.
I like Leon because I like him. People like Chris because they like him. If you don't like it cry about it more. Also I guess I shouldn't really take someone like you seriously, where a good wind looks like it good knock your skinny ass over.
Actually I retract my earlier reply to you. A quick scan of your profile indicated you like mainstream anime. You know nothing if you liked only those. I wouldn't take a DBZ fan seriously.
wait a minute, why did lelouch tell Schneizel to "Obey Zero" couldn't he have said "Side with the Zero Requiem " that way Schneizel wouldn't have lost his free will (at least no more than Suzaku's geass does) and he still would've surrendered. Schneizel would've helped Suzaku and Nunnaly anyway, he's a member of the government, it's his job.
@khfanboy666 Scheinzel would have continued to try and control the world with the Damocles the second Lelouch died. Lelouch took no chances by making him obey Zero since it would make him both obey Lelouch and Suzaku.
@CrashB111 but one thing people don't realise: Schneizel wasn't Evil! He was trying to achieve peace just like Lelouch, they both went about it in evil horrific ways, but once lelouch died schneizel would have gone back to being prime minister. Schneizel lacked ambition, his goals are always changing depending on what sounds best. He would never go back to the damocles. If lelouch didn't know about his lack of ambition, then his video tape gambit wouldn't have worked
@CrashB111 You're close; but he wouldn't just obey Lelouch and Suzaku. He would be serving every person who sought happiness and kindness. Remember what D-Tard said on I believe R2 Episode 9? He said that Zero wasn't a man anymore; Zero had become a symbol of those who would fight against tyranny. Complete and Utter ownage, IMO.
@Kashlikaro I think the intention was more literal though and was only meant to extend to whoever the current Zero was since Diethard's view of Zero was only his opinion of what he was. Besides Scheinzel will probably die of old age before Suzaku does.
"What right do you have to deny my existance? You have none" You know what Lelouch you hypocritical asshole. What right did you have to geass Schneizel, or anyone else for that matter?
I'm so so sorry schneizel, you didn't deserve this. To be a mindless slave for the rest of your life, that's WORSE than death. All he wanted was peace. Sure he went about it the wrong way, and he deserved punishment, but his heart was in the right place. He should have been killed instead. Goodby White Prince :(
When I watched Season 1 I seen rebellion but in season 2 there was a lot of symbolism and a lot of talk about God and the will of humanity I LOVE THIS ANIME
This is one of my favorite scenes in the series haha, man, how the hell did Lelouch even know what and when to answer and say those words haha, truly genius.
@rashiedhozuki123 He just played on what they would normally say and do and how they'd react with simple but somewhat specific answers related to the topic he pulled up. I don't know how he was able to hack into their systems so fast but the other thing is pretty easy to figure out.
@rashiedhozuki123 Actually, if you rewatch the video, split the conversation to just what Lelouch says and just what Schneizel says. They're completely different conversations. Lelouch's comments are very vague, whereas Schneizel's responses are very specific. The only thing Lelouch actually predicts is Schneizel saying that the future could potentially be worse than the present. For what its worth, near the end of the video, Schneizel actually notes that Lelouch is actually making no sense.
Schneizel is one of my favorite characters, though a bit unrealistic ( Reason why I like Lelouch more). Ironically, Lelouch is also disregarding men's true nature. As long as their are two men on this planet their will be conflict. It's human nature and Lelouch making himself a hate symbol will only work at the most for 20 years.
@TWL012 The next part of Code Geass seems to be coming from a completely different storyline. New characters, and FAR in the past. At least, that is how the manga was last I checked. Very disappointing for the first few chapters, so I decided to take a break from it while hoping that it will get better within the next few months when I give it another try.
@826zaheer1993 If he would have killed him then people would still rebel because Sheizal didn't surrender he would have been murdered. Or to show that he did surrender to give Lelouch control. He also needed someone to shut down Damacles like he said at the end of video.
I never understood the point of Diethard's death. It's almost like they HAD to have Lelouch kill one more person to make him look evil.

@TresBS1 There is truth in what you are saying. However, I found it ironic that Lelouch says in the video, "Your willingness to let yourself be killed is exactly what has led you to be defeated."
catsheri1 2 months ago
@catsheri1 I look at as Schneizel was willing to die at any moment for his cause which can make you reckless. Lelouch decided to die for his cause when it would benefit his goal. Both were willing to die, it's just that Lelouch went about it in a way that fit into his plans.
TresBS1 2 months ago
@TresBS1 Not exactly. In the very beginning, Light had, just as Lelouch, wanted to create a better world for everyone. But the Death Note's power drove him crazy more 'n more and after little time he became exactly as you said. That's where Lelouch is the better one. He didn't lose his head to this enormous power he got.
But both are fucking awesome. ;)
rikloves9 2 months ago
@rikloves9 I can completely agree to that. :)
TresBS1 2 months ago
@TresBS1
Light = Demented, selfish tyrant who made the world believe he was god.
Lelouch = Douche martyr who died enthusiastically for our ignorance.
Momentum139 2 months ago
@TresBS1 agreed. I had high hopes for light. then I noticed he was getting more and more tyrant and sick every episode so I kinda felt different when he died. but Lelouch was and always will be the best true hero. the fact that he accepted that he was taking lifes and doing some wrong here and there he kept going because he knew it would be worth it for everyone. a sinful mastermind yes. but as you pointed it out. he had a heart
junkyjoe11 2 months ago
@TresBS1 Even so, Lelouch became arrogant after he killed Charles. He wanted to show the world that he was playing God and that there wasn't anything anyone could do about it.
In that respect, he was smart and strategic. He was able to cause a revolution up until the very end. Light thought once he had killed L, it would all be over;
Near and Watari...Nuff said.
KarmaPolice2011 1 month ago in playlist Liked videos
@KarmaPolice2011 It wasn't to show that he could play god. He took it upon himself to become the enemy of the entire world. An enemy the world would unite against. Lelouch is arrogant, that is true. But he has not inkling of a god complex. He's a commander, a strategist, a manipulator and a deciever, but he's never once thought himself a god.

@bakugancollecterZ makes sense. they have absolute power in their empire. not like any government present. top of that they have about 2/3 of the world in their hands. also including the fact that they are wining against another super power during the series called the e.u. so it makes sense.

"Life without change might be called anything except life, it's nothing more than experience" - lelouch
0:21-0:26
heart9856 8 months ago
@heart9856 A life without change is has no deviation, which is a routine. The more you follow a routine, the more expirience you gain in doing it, but since there is no chance of variation in the routine the expirience isnt needed.
2010Failbrids 8 months ago
@2010Failbrids Wow thanks ! Its clearer to me now :D
heart9856 8 months ago

I mean I doubt you will find a better english dub than this.
psnisy1234 8 months ago
@psnisy1234
I kinda wish I hadn't watch it. But I did. I cant 'unwatch' it. unlike YOU I like the original, which is 10x better than this recycled garbage they call dubs. Weeaboos will always hate and fellow native speakers and REAL fans will agree with me on this.
LeonScottKennedySama 8 months ago
@LeonScottKennedySama What is an anime fan? Someone who likes anime. You have no right to judge someone just because they have a different preference than you. Seems like YOU are the true hater. People like you are the reason the anime community is so full of morons. Your ruining it for everyone. BTW, a weeaboo is someone who has an unhealthy obsession with Japan to the point that they believe their japanese. And face the facts: If dubs didn't exist, none of us would no about anime.
shionthedemon2345 8 months ago
@shionthedemon2345
LeonScottKennedySama 8 months ago
@shionthedemon2345
LeonScottKennedySama 8 months ago
@shionthedemon2345
LeonScottKennedySama 8 months ago
@LeonScottKennedySama "Just shows you how much dubs suck". That's what you said. As if what you say is fact. You are the reason the anime community is so hectic( Do I see a pattern? O_O). If a dub isn't 100% PERFECT, you complain nonstop. Jun Fukuyama makes Lelouch out to be some 40-year old, which is the case for most japanese versions, it's either WAY too high-pitched or WAY too low-pitched. JYB portrays lelouch much better.
shionthedemon2345 8 months ago
@LeonScottKennedySama 2nd part: Watch Baccano, Cowboy bebop, and Hellsing in English. If you can still say that all dubs suck, then you shall officially be out of your mind. And if you ARE from japan, like you claim, how are you able to type fluid english with perfect grammar? Explain that!
shionthedemon2345 8 months ago
@shionthedemon2345
LeonScottKennedySama 8 months ago
@LeonScottKennedySama Your welcome, good sir! WAIT...I sense sarcasm. Quote Ganon: "YOU MUST DIE!". Did you see the bad Hellsing or the good Hellsing, because there are two different Hellsing animes.
shionthedemon2345 8 months ago
@shionthedemon2345
Actually no its not sarcasm, I've lived in Northern America (I'll just say it this way instead of US + Canada) for 17 years of my life. I can't remember if there was a bad or good Hellsing because I only watched one 'set' of the episodes before stopping.

@LeonScottKennedySama The Japanese dub is not as good as this Lelouch sounds way to old in the Japanese one.
I wouldn't take a Leon fan seriously though.

@Aloverssoulz
The Japanese dub > this, by a large margin. Sounds too old? Some of the characters in the english dub sounds like little children.
I like Leon because I like him. People like Chris because they like him. If you don't like it cry about it more. Also I guess I shouldn't really take someone like you seriously, where a good wind looks like it good knock your skinny ass over.

wait a minute, why did lelouch tell Schneizel to "Obey Zero" couldn't he have said "Side with the Zero Requiem " that way Schneizel wouldn't have lost his free will (at least no more than Suzaku's geass does) and he still would've surrendered. Schneizel would've helped Suzaku and Nunnaly anyway, he's a member of the government, it's his job.
khfanboy666 10 months ago
@khfanboy666 Scheinzel would have continued to try and control the world with the Damocles the second Lelouch died. Lelouch took no chances by making him obey Zero since it would make him both obey Lelouch and Suzaku.
CrashB111 10 months ago
@CrashB111 but one thing people don't realise: Schneizel wasn't Evil! He was trying to achieve peace just like Lelouch, they both went about it in evil horrific ways, but once lelouch died schneizel would have gone back to being prime minister. Schneizel lacked ambition, his goals are always changing depending on what sounds best. He would never go back to the damocles. If lelouch didn't know about his lack of ambition, then his video tape gambit wouldn't have worked
khfanboy666 10 months ago
@CrashB111 You're close; but he wouldn't just obey Lelouch and Suzaku. He would be serving every person who sought happiness and kindness. Remember what D-Tard said on I believe R2 Episode 9? He said that Zero wasn't a man anymore; Zero had become a symbol of those who would fight against tyranny. Complete and Utter ownage, IMO.
Kashlikaro 9 months ago
@Kashlikaro I think the intention was more literal though and was only meant to extend to whoever the current Zero was since Diethard's view of Zero was only his opinion of what he was. Besides Scheinzel will probably die of old age before Suzaku does.
CrashB111 9 months ago
"What right do you have to deny my existance? You have none" You know what Lelouch you hypocritical asshole. What right did you have to geass Schneizel, or anyone else for that matter?
I'm so so sorry schneizel, you didn't deserve this. To be a mindless slave for the rest of your life, that's WORSE than death. All he wanted was peace. Sure he went about it the wrong way, and he deserved punishment, but his heart was in the right place. He should have been killed instead. Goodby White Prince :(

@rashiedhozuki123 He just played on what they would normally say and do and how they'd react with simple but somewhat specific answers related to the topic he pulled up. I don't know how he was able to hack into their systems so fast but the other thing is pretty easy to figure out.
upturn76 1 year ago
@rashiedhozuki123 Actually, if you rewatch the video, split the conversation to just what Lelouch says and just what Schneizel says. They're completely different conversations. Lelouch's comments are very vague, whereas Schneizel's responses are very specific. The only thing Lelouch actually predicts is Schneizel saying that the future could potentially be worse than the present. For what its worth, near the end of the video, Schneizel actually notes that Lelouch is actually making no sense.

AutumnCathalene 1 year ago
Schneizel is one of my favorite characters, though a bit unrealistic ( Reason why I like Lelouch more). Ironically, Lelouch is also disregarding men's true nature. As long as their are two men on this planet their will be conflict. It's human nature and Lelouch making himself a hate symbol will only work at the most for 20 years.

@826zaheer1993 If he would have killed him then people would still rebel because Sheizal didn't surrender he would have been murdered. Or to show that he did surrender to give Lelouch control. He also needed someone to shut down Damacles like he said at the end of video.
