The new version doesn't have that overhand, so it doesn't need thisd fix.

The taller (newer) x-grip wasn't out when I made this video, so this was a simple, cheap solution.

No, it is not a fisheye. It is a combo wide-angle/macro lens.

No. It's a wide-angle lens.

im also getting one for my kodak and so do u think i ould easily make it fit nice and snug for skateboard filming

Yes. I've used it for filming skateboarding, both running along the side and on a board.

On the Zi8, I have a wide-angle/macro lens from Dealextreme.
