  • This is a great song and a great job by Tom, but check out the version by 9448. The guy is incredible.

  • Lo amo de toda la vida

  • Thumbs up if Edward Scissorhands brought you here!

  • piano at the start is beautiful, and my favourite part of the song is when his voice breaks into falsetto at the end of singing "forever and a day" around 0:30

  • I watched Tom Jones in the sixties when I was in junior high school. I can't even get over how good this is. mmmmm...............

  • powerful !!!

  • That piano is so dreamy and beauitufl <3 uh

  • makes me think of edward scissor hands when joyce tries to seduce him in the hairdressers lol

  • I have heard other versions of this song. But I am sorry, no one... NO ONE... can do this song like Tom Jones can. His version is EPIC! He gives me goose bumps.

  • Does anyone have "And I tell the sea" Tom Jones...was on the "What's New Pussycat album...would love to hear it or download it.

  • william and kate should have this song as there first dance

  • first time i heard this was in Edward Scissorhands, amazing song! :)

  • Oh Eddie, you're trembling..

Ah so glad that it was in that film, how gorgeous :)

  • The most beautiful song ever.

  • One of Tom Jones best.

  • I wanna cry when I hear this song. When my dog, Bear, had to be put down I pet him until he was lifeless. I cried as I made my way to my car and I listened to this song in the car. :'( this song is soo good. I miss him so much.

  • @trickster909 I had a little black pomerianian named bear. One night we let him out to use the bathroom. I was at a birthday party, when I heard that there was a little dog dead in the road. I came home and found out it was bear, while we were also celebrating my brothers birthday. I stayed up in my room all night and cried, and when I went to school the next day, everyone was talking about my dog being smeared in the road. It was HORRIBLE. Continued for like a week! :(

  • @dragonholder411 My dog was black as well, I was actually thining about him today. I did learn something from his death though: Cherish what you have because before you know it, it will be gone. How old were you?

  • @trickster909 I think I was 11. The night before he died he had chewed up some of my art cly, and I've saved it ever since so that I can still remember him well. Haha, one time he ate half of a giant wax candle, and later that day he pooped in the house and it was pure wax! He ate everything... cellphones, chewed through a new TV cord, ate our poisionous plant (just threw up A LOT), ate our shoes, ate a few of my projects and homework for school, he had an iron stomach. XD I still miss him. :(

  • OH, MY, MY......... BREATHTAKINGLY Beautiful!

  • The Temptations has a version of this song and is very nice too.

  • lovely

  • P.J.PROBY - With These Hands. No competition can come near it.

  • I can't agree, I think PJ is a fantastic singer and I'm totally crazy about his version of "What's Wrong With My World" but this one hell no, Tom Jones much better, coming from a person who adores Elvis just like PJ does

  • Yes, he is impressive. But TJ always is.

Another great version of this song is by Frankie Vaughn. Much slower and very serious.

  • this is great...

but the BEST VERSION IS BY....PJ PROBY.

  • Ich denke, das ist auch der beste Song von Tom Jones! Wirklich beeindruckend!

  • With these hands I'll provide for you..

Should there be a stormy sea,

I'll turn the tide for you.

  • lOVE THE TUNE..... TRYING TO GET HOLD OF THE VERSION ON THE JOE SAMPLE CD.... AB BRILLIANT

    THANKS FOR POSTING

  • geez...I remember when I used to be little, and my mom and dad would put records like this on all the time, and we'd all sit there for hours listening to track after track of old songs, but they were all great...

We should have got a notice about being so loud ^^ we'd always crank the volume up really high lol...Good times...

  • love this song....nancydflores santos

  • Tom sings is well, but I think he jazzes it up too much. I would still prefer it by Vera Lynn or Eddie Fisher any day.

  • Beautiful

  • Tom's first hit and is still up there with the rest of them.

  • This was his first hit? Wow. It´s my fav song.

  • Actually his first hit was It's not unusual in 1965 (Jan. 1965). With These Hands was a hit in/around August/September 1965.

  • wonderful piano.Never heard this before-and I'm pretty ancient...

  • where you been? its 40 years old.Sorry Tom we'er all getting on a bit, your still sounding great

  • amazing brilliant what a song what a voice

  • My late father used to play these records. Thanks for the post. I spent a few moments in the past. ;)

  • Fab song I love you Tom. The seduction scene in Edward scissorhands was brill poor Edward i think anyone would a mile from her lol.

  • This song was on the Edward Scissorhands Sountrack, as the final track.

I love it, it's very wintery.

  • This is where I first heard it and fell in love with this song. He sang his heart out here.

  • this is my favourite song of all time, and the man who sings it to me will take my heart forever.....

  • si que eres ignaro

  • ignaro

  • I'm a pretty bitter person who rarely shows emotion. This song brings tears everytime as it reminds me of someone I lost a long time ago.

  • Great song... well done!

  • What a voice.

  • Gread song, great video - no one can sing it like Tom can!!

  • Thank you so much TopTJFan for this beautiful video...this is my favorite Tom Jones song!

  • Yeah same...also reminds me of the seduction bit in edward scissorhands

  • right from the depth of the Heart..

    One of His BEST..

  • Reminds me of that "seduction scene" in Edward Scissorhands (my fav movie, BTW)

  • I love the emotion Tom Jones puts into his songs, and he has an individual style. I still love "What's New Pussycat" which was used as the soundtrack for the movie "Cat Balou" when I was a youngster. Also, I like his other song, "It's Not Unusual", another oldie from my time. He has many great songs and I had his albums and played them to death!

  • What a great song. Still makes me think of that scene in Edward Scissorhands. :)

  • me too

  • just great

  • Wonderful. I love this man

  • sir Tom Jones is a Legend !!!!

  • They sure don't make singers like this anymore.. Tom Jones, Elvis... What has happened to TALENT and music these days?

  • u got that right stupid tlaentless singers these days

  • @KingCreoleEP Wholeheartedly I agree with you. Seriously, are there ANY singer today who can really pull at your heartstrings while singing a song...? Oh, Elvis; you left us way too soon. Luckily we still have Mr. Jones.

  • @KingCreoleEP It's over Dude!! I hope you were here for the ride!!!

  • wonderful...thank you very much

  • WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I love Tom Jones and this song! It is beautiful!!!

  • I LOVE this song!!! Tom Jones rocks!

  • its awesome possum!

  • Es una canción preciosa!!!!!!!! *o*

  • You should see him sing this on Ed Sullivan circa 1964. The best live vocal of the day.

  • I'm not a huge fan of Tom Jones, but I heard this song in Edward Scissorhands and I liked it. Thanks!

  • Yeah. I "experienced" exactly the same thing :-)

  • Nice! So who got married?

  • Thanks for making the effort to do this!

  • I fell in love with this song, having never heard it before until the movie soundtrack. Thanks for the great job putting it all together. Looks and sounds great!!!

  • Tom Jones ...voice of the South Wales Valleys...wonderful song ...thanks

  • Just love it! Video is tantalizingly beautiful...

  • Nice one again, Tommer!

  • Thank you, thank you! Audio resolution is perfect, I have not been able to find this release except from the Sizzor Hands audio track with that God awfull clunk at the end. Very nice my friend. Do you know what label this recording was released on and was it a Les Reed Production?

Hey and along the same genre, Has anybody got the long version of Jimmy James and the Vagabonds "Come to me Softly". One of the most lushly atrranged love songs from late 60s/early 70s.

  • You're welcome! Yes, it is a Les Reed production. The cut is from "The Definitive Tom Jones" 4-CD box set, disc 1. I highly recommend it if you enjoy his music.
