... You realize that neither of them is really that great. Chad Michael Murray is really not a very good basketball player at all. A lot of the scenes with "Lucas" are a stand-in. At the beginning of the series, when he frankly looks like a much better ballplayer than later on, he is often wearing a hood to conceal the stand-in. James Lafferty was a very good high school basketball player but he's not anything special. Not to rain on the parade, I love the bball scenes with 'em but c'mon...

I think they are regulation height. James Lafferty (Nathan) played in school and is very good he doesnt use a double he has a 15-foot, mid-range jump shot. CMM (Lucas) used to have a double but now does most scenes himself. James is 6'2 and Chad is 6'.
