because of his plans, i compared his plans and john mccain's plan on healthcare, education and the war in iraq as well as the economy, and i felt that mccain's plan did not cover enough on education and i want our troops out of iraq(my brother is there currently). mccain's healthcare plan had a lot of holes in it. and the fact that obama can inspire a nation is a bonus. i liked mccain's plans too, but obama's was better.

well, according to him being on the grounds of iraq, he PERSONALLY feels they are ready.

the point of him serving is to protect this nation, he has already said that he is extremely worried about our homeland security and the situation in afghanistan.

he wants to be deployed to afghanistan when he comes backs.

we are in this war supposedly not to bring stability to iraq, but to protect our country. my father who served over 20 years in the air force was against this war from the beginning

It's perfectly reasonable to have been opposed to going into Iraq. Valid reasons coul have been made in opposition, but at the time, there were just as valid reasons to go in. Either way, the point is we're in now and need to clean up or risk an Iraqi national catastrophe...but this is neither here nor there. If he himself from personal experiences thinks they are ready, and with him being your brother, I suppose it's only right to trust him. Thanks for responding to my questions, too.
