Is the media moral? BBC Director General - Mark Thompson speech in Coventry

Mr. Thompson's remarks are generally speaking globally applicable. I take case with his concluding remarks that media should act as a mirror of reality. A proper understanding of truth, absolute and eternal truth, compels us to not only be reflective mirrors of that truth, but tell the truth as social advocates because of the enlightenment that absolute truth provides us with. Mirroring reality is more so a passive approach, requiring neither principle nor creativity to tell the truth.

Thopmson is a sick Pro israeli, who makes sure israel's barbaric nature is covered and hidden from the UK public, the recent massacre of the Flotilla ship proves this.

He actually befreinded the (now thankfully in a vegetative state) the ugly war criminal Sharon and promised to ensure israel to be shown not as an Aparthide and Nazi regime that it actually is. His actions state he's sticking to his promise to Sharon.... and he then has the nerve to talk about morality, what an evil bastard.

Yes, it is indeed questionable. Thompson has an agenda. And yes, I there are possibly many more bonuses for him and his family that you won't read about. He says that the media should be a source of light and understanding and tolerance, but that is in plain contradiction to not showing the Gaza Aid appeal. I could be wrong here, but he seems to be all "head" and no "heart".
