does any one else agree that metal slug is no as fun as it used to be, because the metal slug 5-7 games are boring, I remembered when I played metal slug 1-4 now those games felt like an actual 2d war zone metal slug 5-7 all feel as if it was staged all the enemies are just lined up the bosses in metal slug 1-3 were epic but the now the bosses in 5-7 feel repetitive and feel more like a chore. RIP Metal slug you were once a great game.

@Greeny1hit1the1sign I agree. I think Metal Slug reached the top with MS3 and the games that followed were neither going upward OR maintaining the level it had reached.

I think the FIRST level of Metal Slug 5 is great because of the multiple paths similar to MS3 but the game as a whole is inferior to MS4.

As for the 3D Metal Slug on PS2, forget about it...

being a metal slug fan for ten years i can safely say that the series reached its apex with the metal slug 3. It was a fan farewell from the original snk developers. After metal slug 3 the series fell apart.

okey so when i first played the game on the ds emulator i noticed it was a little easier on normal than other metal slug games :) ! MS7 is good, but are there any cheats for the game ? codes etc, more lives ? the first time i played i came to the fifth stage on medium..then all my continues ran out , hahha

I'm afraid I would not. I planned to do a no miss run in hard mode. However, since the current emulation is imcomplete, I won't record my runs until it can be smoothly emulated.

Basically, what are the attacks of the 2nd boss? I didnt see it do anything throughout the battle except lighting up the screen with its eye and waving its arms around...

Besides that, it can raise a rock pillar with each its hand and then throw it down. Also it can launch chasing missiles and so on, which isn't shown in the video.
