The 8.8 WAS major, but for that location, it doesn't mean anything worse is imminent. It was on a well-known fault line with a history of having some of the most extremely powerful quakes ever recorded... the fault line is still doing what it's always been doing.

There is something more to it than random by now. ow many 8.0 and above has happened int he last few years? They are becoming more and more frequent. Now natural or aided by some scalar technology is beyond me and most publicly available science to reach that conclusion, But some major changes are going on, there is no doubt about that.

not much, theres about 1 or 2 magnatude 8.0 or over every year. most we never hear about because its off the coast in the ocean or something
and if you look at magnatude 7.0 or over... for the past 20 years, it averages about 15 per year

Many people have a hard time accepting that tragedies could happen with nobody to blame. Can't get much emotional satisfaction from raging against the uncaring, unpersonal forces of plate tectonics. Rocks don't care who gets hurt.

Not to seem like an 'idiot' as you say but its pretty strange how these earthquakes are happening ( China Japan Cali Hiati Chile...etc ) in a close timeline, people are reporting strange light in the sky around the times, and funnily enough a thing called HAARP can makes those pretty colours in the sky and the make the ground shake....seems odd to me....
