  • very interesting

  • Having Veneers is really good than other treatments with a good team cosmetic dentist and their proper procedures and steps to provide their customers the best and good result of smile. They have the same treatment and procedure just like my brothers dentist here in California, LA. If you are in California, LA area this is my dentist website at valleycosmeticdentist

  • very nice

  • i wish my dentist would recommend stuff for me beacuse i keep my teeth healthy so he just prods around in my mouth then says get lost

  • Oh Please! I worked for a cocaine addicted guy who made veneers caps and false teeth for dentists. We "apprentices" (non-paid) MADE all the veneers caps and false teeth, while the owner applied the porceline to the final mold and got all the profit. I think I know enough about how to do it now that I will make my own.

What do YOU charge? $2000 a tooth?

  • The cost of dentistry here in the USA is OUTRAGEOUS!!!

Mexico has some VERY good dentists and you can save a FORTUNE!!!

It's THE only way to go!

  • I would give up so much to have this done. I am petrified of the dentist and I apparantely grind my teeth at night. I could never afford this to be done, I've tried applying to extreme makeover, seeing the orthadontics who said that my teeth were so overcrowded I'd need metal braces for 2 years and I hate the idea of those and the expense to be in so much pain! :( I already suffer from self esteem issues and confidence so it'd be horrible to have that. This guy is so lucky!

  • I just recently got a quote from a dental office for $16,000 I went down the road and got the same estimate fro $6,700. Then I went to yet a 3rd one. I was going for my second treatment and a young woman said have you heard about this company that is not insurance it cost me $99 a year and I now am going to get all done for $1,900 I bet the same applies to cosmetic. I veneers any ideas?

  • @aromatherapyforpets thats rediculous.

  • @aromatherapyforpets what company is that?

  • so veneers are pretty much fake teeth covering your real teeth?

  • I Can't Get Any Dentist to Give Me a Straight Answer on this Question: How can a dentist possibly justify charging the same price for a veneer as they do for a crown. The prep work is far more extensive for a crown. How can they charge so much for far less work

  • Prepering a veneer is harder than a crown, every dentist can make crown but every dentist dont make laminate veneer. And for laboratory prices are higher for laminates, and final thing usually many of the crowns can be cemented with conventional cements, but all of the porcelain lamiinates require adhesive cementation, and that is more difficult and more expensive, these make price differences. But in olur clinic at istanbul, we charge 375 euros per both :) i hope this helps.

  • @dtonurozturk : thanks for the reply. In the USA it cost about $1,200 per tooth. We have no national health care in this country yet, so dentists can charge what ever they want

  • @inkey2 wooow the fuck thats a lot of money

  • @inkey2 Canadian healthcare does not cover veneers, very few private plans cover them either as they are viewed as "aesthetic/cosmetic dentistry".... implants are more accepted and commonly covered.

  • @inkey2 you are right! I had mines at Cancun in only 1 week, very professional dentalmaya . com they only charged me $399

  • @ra9975 dental work in Mexico = bad idea

  • Try shopping around. In Ohio, they are typically $600-700 per tooth, which is several hundred less than a crown.

  • Supply and demand my friend if the demand is high they can charge high

  • its not that high!!! trust me i looked at it!.... my crowns cost same as veneers bull shit if u ask me cuz i got 8 veneers and 2 crowns something should be cheepr but no all same price it could be cuz i told them they can use me in their ads lol

  • the cost of the material is higher.

  • @inkey2 the cost of the materials and the prep work that goes into making the actual product takes time

  • @inkey2

A crown is a 360degree veneer. -or ut it ab=nother way a veneer is a crown that doesnt wrap around the whole way. in fact many dentists will wrap the veneer around the incisal edge and between the neighbouring teeth. Veneers done well are more dificult than crowns. the lab fee is the same, the materials used are the same, the challenge of doing it well is more dificult. the rule is your dentist should remove only as much tooth structure as is required. the fee is the same

  • @inkey2

Veneers are easy to cut but take forever to seat; sort of the reverse for crowns.

  • @inkey2 because they want too!

  • @inkey2

I'm a dentist and the answer is simple. the prep time may be less time but the planning and lab costs are increased. Also, the delivery of the veneers is more complicated and the cement can be more expensive. whether you are in the chair for 1hour or 45 minutes, the fixed costs of having you there are roughly the same. hope this helps

  • @brettkarren thanks, that was helpful information

  • @inkey2 a veneer is technically more difficult, more fraught with problems in the preparation, fabrication and cementation, worst still problems with the bite that could cause the veneer to chip off. I would much prefer to do a crown prep than a veneer prep to be honest. Also market forces dictate the value the patient will receive at the end of it and so if you will benefit greatly then yes the person placing the veneers expects to be rewarded accordingly. Veneers = detailed and delicate work.

  • @inkey2 The lab bill is far higher for a veneer because of the esthetic demands of the case. The temporaries are far more labor intense and the cementing procedure is more demanding. A crown takes 15 mins to cement and veneers take two hours and the cement is four - five times more expensive. Even the stone and the lab techniques are more labor intensive.

In my office veneers cost more than crowns.

  • @inkey2 the price is very high because of the technology and material the labs are using

i know it is fucked up :(

  • @inkey2 lab fees. it costs the dentist anywhere from $800-$2000 (depending on the lab) to order a veneer. Then they have to use cement etc to put it on the tooth. They aren't mechanics... lol.

  • good question! i wanted to get all porcelain veneers but i got crowns because crowns last ...well they can last forever ! i got 8 crowns(full porcelain) done on my upper front teeth just because my doctor recommended to get

(full porcelain crowns instead of porcelain veneers ) and he said because it is cheeper more lasting and better for your teeth and gums! he also said that he doesn't know why porcelain veneers are more expensive lol

  • i have veneers too and i love them

  • Veneers are soo worth it. I'm having it done soon. But fuck, not in this country prices are crazy.

  • must be expensive? i would like to have angelina jolie's teeth coz it looks perpect.

  • i wonder if he had that lisp before he got the veneers

  • haha

  • veneers are not very reliable can chip off and can be night mare if the dentist is fails to do a good job or fails to select proper case example if there is a deep bite

  • i heard that veneers can make u talk outa sync...

  • i want this too

  • to get the best result make sure to go to a PROSTHODONTIST ther are the specialist. cosmetic dentist is a general dentist with no specialty degree

  • sorry drsamo80, but i'm not agree with your comment... well not entirely

Of course that a PROSTHODONTIST is much more qualified than a general dentist who attend to a semester course of cosmetic dentistry.

but I've met doctors that they have attend to this course and they are general dentist with 30 years of experience and they do know what are they doing...

well maybe there are exceptions like everything else!! LOL

    no argue at all!!!!

    Have a Good Day!!

    Cheers!!

  • oh NO don't get me wrong. ther are some general dentist that i know and do orthodontics better than orthodontist and prep better than prosthodontist and work hard and attende a lot of CE , but i'm saying in general specialists are more qualified but for sure there are exceptions ! :) LOL

    have a good day

  • If he is a "grinder," then there is an increased chance that he will experience veneer failure and they will break or come off when he grinds. If that happens, who pays for the replacements, or for the crowns he might need after he keeps braking and popping the veneers?

Theer is a growing chorus of patiens who are experiencing veneer failure, and teh ADA nad FDA have chosen not to track it, so no one even knows how prevelent it is.

  • awesome
