@dicf21 yea right. can you use your bank debit card to scan for metro/bus fare? no. do you guys have tons of lines going to a lot of different cities making it accessible? no. do you guys have the metro go to different universities and colleges all over the capital? nope. is it cheap? probably not as cheap as ppl want to afford it. I doubt you guys have screen doors for safety either.
@dicf21 yea the N train station in brooklyn SUCKS< OMG i feel i will die in one of them becasue they gonna falll on me. OMG , atleast in seoul u won't die by having a train station fall on u *sign *
yeah, I agree. I live right near New York and have taken their subways. The subways are pretty efficient, but everything is so worn down and everything is SO dirty. It's a wonder of how they can keep the subways in South Korea so clean.
i agree! i live in New York too. I've been to Seoul and New york and I was shocked by how clean the trains were in Seoul. NYC subways are just badly maintained by both people and staff; i think that's the problem. =/
every day they have workers (often through a special program to employ senior citizens) to mop and clean everything... very often i've seen them removing individual pieces of gum or other stuff from the floor. and the constant upkeep really shows!
Wow, that's intense. I think that it's great that they employ senior citizens to do those kinds of things because it gives them something to do<no offense to them or anything and I'm not meaning to say that they don't do anything...
@asian897 I'm a New Yorker. The NYC subway is shitty, especially compared to Seoul. You can never have nice things in the NYC subway. These subway cars would be vandalized.
@asian897 They wash the floor and the wall everyday with detergent. I don't know how many times a day, but you could often see the cleaners if you visit Seoul Metro.
I assure you that the Caracas(venezuela) subway is a thousand times worse then the subway of NY ._.

well in live in toronto and our subways suck compared to the subways in seoul. i was there in '97 and later in 2001 and 2009
new york subways are nasty but there is something about new york. its got some kind of 'feeling' going on. but their subways are really outdated.
