Holistic Back Pain Therapy : What Is a Nerve?

i have lower back pain and suddenly if a bend my toe at an angle it goes numb and stays at that position until i move it back (hurts VERY much) do i tell my Dr. about my conditions?

It was short, but it helped me. The spin nerves having some effect on the front is something I'm going though, and a numb left arm at times.
