ok i am gonna tell you this: from the begining the tempo was out of your leauge, but than you made it somehow, and than there's the second variation it was too fast and you made many mistakes and in the last variation where you have the jumping up and down, you should've played the high notes louder the lower notes more quietly, but i must say your sound was kind of impresive because i heard many preformances and try not to blow your cheeks :)
your losing some of your notes bc you are puffy your cheeks which is a sign of sloppyness..but you do have a nice tone..just a few things to work out... great job!!!!!!!
Hey man that was pretty good. Good tone, but practice with a metronome would help. What saxophone do you play with? I am going to actually get a alto saxophone soon. I have been renting a alto for awhile and I was trying all these other brands of alto saxophones so telling me what brand you play with would help.
@cameronknutson yo! thanks! i play on a yamaha custom 82z (theyre not actually custom, that's just the name of the model), and I'm really happy with it. As for the customs, it depends on what kind of sound you want to veer towards. As a rule of thumb, the 82z's are slightly darker whilst the 62 is slightly more freeblowing and bright. I would also look into a selmer, they are awesome!
You have a very nice tone, and you did a pretty good job.
However, I do have a couple comments about your tempo. First, you must pick a good tempo. It seems that your beginning tempo was a bit above your ability to play the piece accurately. Start practicing slowly, then gradually up the tempo as you feel you've mastered the slower version.
After you have selected a tempo, maintain it. In the first and second variations, you began to slow down, then the 32s rushed. Practice with a metronome.
this was not the Jules Demersseman version..

I like your sound. Your vibrato is incredibly fast. It scares me. lol. Nice job. I was thoroughly entertained by watching and listening to you!
