Just like the re-mastered Hendrix albums - these plugins were always going to be of great interest to any fan of 60's and 70's rock music.
Myself , I use a Magneto for warmth , Waves RCL for compression , Lexicon for reverb , and Kjaerhus Audio for delay ,chorus and flange. Ok for demos
Side-chaining is necessary for frequency-based compression and Eddie's approach has brought this and more to give an easily masterable sound to all types of performer and recording enthusiast.
I'm just starting off in the world of audio recording and music production as i am taking music technology as a major. i'm in a band that plays very similar to zep (from heavy blues to folk.) l look to eventually produce my bands music..i favor the natural warm sound of zeppelin over the tacky cold sound of newer rock. im as used to the terms as any beginner ..well the bottom line i guess is i'm hoping someone experienced or not as much could give me a book/site that has helped them out.
@ZephyrRock hey mate...check out Mixing With Your Mind by-Michael Stavrou. Foreword by Sir George Martin . . . a remarkable insight into the most important piece of equipment in the recording studio - the human brain.
never met a harder working person in the music industry. the artist is Michael Williams, lead guitarist and vocalist for Michael Williams Band. Eddie produced their new album, Fire Red.
One of the things I've learned over the years is how very much Eddie added to Jimi's sound and how hard it was to accomplish this with the limitations of his day, and I think he did a brilliant job.
Thank you EK for the love and respect you showed to Jimi's music; nothing but respect to you man.
