Half Life 3 would mean an entirely new plot, new characters, -etc.

Episode 3 would be continuing the HL2 series itself. No possible way Valve would just leave a hole in the whole plot. (Skipping Episode 3 to continue HL3? Rubbish).

Valve promise a new game element with each Half Life Installment, I Can't remember the one for HL2 Ep 1 but HL2 ep 2 is the Large open battle environments so I can't wait for what number 3 will bring!

In episode one I bieleve that new game elements are:

Alyx covers you by sniper rifle, than she coops with new weapon (shotgun)

by Alyx reprogramed combine mines.

Adding "Zombine" and using it's granade in hand to do some tricks...

and ability to seal antlion spawn holes with car or other lagre objects

No problem. And technically, I'm not a developer until I get through college. I normally don't tell many people about the game I'm working on simply because it's coming along so slow. But when I finish, I'm going to talk to Valve about releasing it as an Episode 2 expansion. If they deny me, I'll just release it as a mod or buy an engine license and sell it stand-alone.

Actually, Episode 2 does not have this car, or that part of the map... It's not the same. The PC and 360 versions of this game are nearly identical, the only real difference being the PC version can support better visuals.

This is a beta of Ep2, seeing at the model is different for the car, and there are map variations. Now stop arguing, you all sound like a bunch of 12-year-olds. Grow up.
