Dick Winters Schoonderlogt 65 years later

My country desperately needed liberation from the most evil system mankind has ever devised too and it were those young brave American, British and Canadian lads who had to do the job for us. Major Winters was certainly an outstanding, remarkable military leader but let us not forget all the other unnamed young men who sadly had to go through hell as well. Without them, I wouldn´t have grown up in a free Germany. Thanks and RIP Major Winters.

Look for the exact place of this assault on google maps. Search for Hemmen Netherlands and find the crossing of 'Randwijkse Rijndijk and Renkumse Veerweg south of 'de Rijn' . You also can search for ' Randwijkse rijndijk 6' and go 500 meters to the left (west); there you can see 'Crossroads' and also the monument of this event. The adres of Schoonderlogt is Valburg - Logtsestraat 4-6.
