@vioreg The causes of famine in my country were much more complex than you suggest. The reasons so many died is because we were so dependent on the potato for survival. Absentee British landlords colonised our land and leased it to middlemen who bred cattle, sheep grain and vegetables that were exported to Britain and left their impoverished tenants to survive only on potatoes.

Colonisation of my country was the root cause of famine, pesticides weren't needed before that. Open a history book!

The way to see if apples, tomatos, and other vegetables and fruit are organic look for 5 digit numbers starting with 9, if they are GMO it will have four digits, stay away from those, hope this helps someone!

Including many '' organic '' seeds, but famers don't plant those because the yeilds one those seed don't do as well as others, and as in every industry it all depends on making money for you and your family .

I wouldn't rule out FOOD, the kid that had allergies was the only kid in our school who drank pasteurized and homogenized milk (they also didn't have a farm), all the rest of us normal kids were drinking RAW milk and eating many home grown foods.

Preservatives are made to keep food dead, when you eat dead food it kills you also. If there are antibacterial agents in food hygiene, etc
