@ShiverMynt the film is "A clockwork Orange" not "The clockwork Orange" if your gonna say that its one of your favorite films make sure you know the title but you obviously have exelent tast in movies
I saw this movie when it came out at my walk in theatre in the mid 70s. Dont know how me and my friend got in a rated R movie, I was only 12. This movie has every deviant debauchery you can think of. Lesbianism, Incest, Child porn never figured out how they were able to film a small girl erotically kissing an adult or two pre-pubesent teens nude on their knees wearing dog collars going through the hallways panting like dogs. The infecting parasite makes people horny and very violent. Sick movie!
@stomp919 Yeah. And at the end all the "sex zombies" are chasing after the hero ( or only person whos still un-infected ) and trying to get him to join in the fun! Oh yeah, .. this flick is a blast alright! I dig it!
@Skulldini Lol yeah man you got good tastes in horror flicks. Im not into the 80s Horror Halloweeen Jason teenager being chased by a maniac. I like Horror flicks that deal with the devil/occult 60s n 70s. The only movie from the 80s I dig ,that I can think of, Is Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2 and Day of the Dead. 90s or 21st century I cant think of any.
@stomp919 Oh man, you totally nailed it! I can't believe I found somebody who lists those 3 flicks as the ONLY good ones made past the 70's. You're spot on. Evil Dead 1 & 2 and Day Of The Dead are mine too. And it's not like I don;t know what I'm talking about. I have 840 films on video & dvd. Only like 40 of them are made past 1975. And yeah, the ONLY horror ones I'll tolerate are those three. Lastly, this film 'They Came From Within" was ALREADY done in the late 50's as "The Brain Eaters".
@pewsterbaby Thanks! Thats a real compliment due to the fact that you have so many movies in your collection. I dont have many dvds and blue rays but here's the horror ones I own..The Skull, Tales of terror/Twice told tales, witchfinder general aka the conquror worm, blacula, city of the living dead aka the gates of hell, comedy of terrors/the raven, count yorga vampire/the return of count yorga, dawn of the dead, damien omen 2,day of the dead, devil dog hound of hell, the devils rain, most of lee dracula
@stomp919 evil dead, evil dead 2,frogs,the exorcist, new version and blu ray version, the legend of hell house, the night stalker, vincent prices pit and the pendulum, rosemarys baby, seven doors of death aka THE BEYOnd. I have around 100 vcr tapes ive recorded stuff off of tv like dont be afraid of the dark etc the few blu rays i own are the exorcist, the deils rejects, house of 1000 corpses, the omega man, dirty harry, magnum force, and the original planet of the apes. Excuse my typing..itypewith1fingr
"In this building. Through this door. Down this hallway. No, not that hallway, the other one. No, don't go through that door, that's the boiler room. No, now you're in the laundry room. Wait, why are you going down the stairs now? Look, forget it. Just get out of here. Go home. You're obviously not interested."
HAHAAA!! After I got done watching the trailer, I was reading your comment and it was fucking hilarious! I burst out laughing... well done, well done. ;)
I'm looking for an obscure movie involving a slug-like alien thing that terrorizes a farm and sucks the life out of animals and so on by zapping them Has anyone ever heard of this movie? It's not this movie, nor is it Deadly Spawn, Night of the Creeps, or Slither.
I was 10 when my dad took me to see this. It was right before we went on vacation and I was terrified. I thought it was going to happen in the hotel we was going to stay at.
Loved the drive-in in the 70's. Roll up some sweet bud, get a hot pizza and large coke from concession stand, cool evening temp. i early summer, around 77 degrees with best girl next to you, best buds meeting you with their fine chicks and hot rods.
Well said,my man! Believe it or not,my grandma took me to see this when i was eight. Good times. It was on a double bill with Capricorn One featuring O.J. "Still searching for the killer" Simpson at the old Erlen theatre in Philly.
"If this movie does'nt make you scream and squirm then you'd better see a psychiatrist!"
...HA HA HA HA!!!! I first saw this flick on Elvira and then rented it on home video. Its a definate personal favorite of mine wich Ide recomend to any arrant fan of cult horror cinema.
thanks, the first time I saw this it was titled " They came from within", recently I caught it on one of the movie channels and it was titled " Shivers" had no idea they were one in the same until that day. Awesome film! wickedly scary!
Yeah, that's odd with the titles Cronenberg chose. It was his first theaterical film after he made 2 no-budget feature-length student films (which were STEREO & CRIMES OF THE FUTURE). Very good, very gory, very entertaining. Cronenberg at his best since RABID. (Check RABID out, by the way).
Great flick! I wish somebody would upload it :)

Is Slither a remake of this???
monol22 1 year ago
@monol22 Slither is more than likely a remake of Night of the Creeps, not Shivers/They Came From Within.
rubinoos1 1 year ago
@rubinoos1 What about Alien? Now I wouldn't call that movie a remake but to me it did apear to have some distinct elements from THIS flick .

So the original title is "Rabid" right?
So was it rereleased later on with this title?
ILikeCalliopes 3 years ago
No. The original title is "Shivers". "Rabid" is a different movie. David Cronenberg directed both, though.
