The Stock Engine without any internal upgrade is good good for 400HP. However, If you go beyond 380 - 400HP, it is recommended to upgrade the Rods. It's a GT3071R Unitronic TSI Stage 3 Big turbo File.

@ZGTI I seen you mentioned doing an R32 swap. Im guessing the R32 and the MK6 are the same platform. Would the rear subframe from the R32 bolt right in on the MK6? And would the AWD trans bolt to the TSI engine. I haven't got a chance to look under the car and compare. Plus everytime I do a search for a swap, everyone says I might as well trade the GTI in for a R32. Let me know what you think..thanks

Not necessarily true. It is true that most fwd cars have incredible problems with understeer at the limit but then again most drivers don't test a car's true limit of grip and shouldn't on the street. As a quick daily driver it is nice. 400hp for a fwd daily seems a bit excessive but who says that's a bad thing ;] lol

Pistons were tested up to 600HP without issues as well !!

@ZGTI Interesting, what fuelling system does the new TSI have to be able to run these kinda figures? I have the TFSI, BWJ Engine and have the Revo stage 2+ and I can not run my car with out a upgraded fuel pump.

My stage 2+ demands that I have this upgrade as it demands the extra fuelling. It seems the new technology has moved on and having this ability just saves you the money and time. Anyhow m8, nice work BTW car looks and goes well. You know your 1/4 mile time yet?

yes sir this is a TSI engine not FSI ... I am running Stock fueling now and boosting at only 20PSI .. Once the Fueling system is upgraded then i'll hit way more :)
