An amazing song by Pat.I wish she would throw this one back in her live set list.Myron Grombacher shreds it on the drums on this song.Glad to see he's back drumming for Pat.
Not in the RnR Hall of Fame? Shame on them. One of the best of the 80's with one of the best, most hyperactive drummers ever. Still love the Japanese themed drumset. Drooled over it for months when I first saw it.
I finally got see her in my 30s here in florida,Jacksonville to me that was a dream come true from where i come from, was the best night, and saw her again in Dayotna VIDEO RECORDED THE WHOLE CONCERT,PICS ECT....WILL SAVE IT FOREVER,LOVE PAT AND YES WHY IS SHE NOT IN THE HALL OF FAME FFS!
I Loved her then and I love her now. The memories of my youth ring with the sound of her voice. This woman was- and is- a class act who knows how to kick ass.
I remember cutting class in the early 80's with Joey Bigica and fat Lorraine and then going over to a friends house whose parents weren't home, we had a record player, a six pack, and Pat Benatar.
Today, when I hear her songs, I'm 17 again- a time when I believed I have my youth and my friends, forever.
I saw her last night (5-30-10) at Speed Street in Charlotte the night before the Coca-Cola 600...... Wow, she was amazingIIII I figured at age 57 her voice might have lost a notch or two.... BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Her voice echoed off of the skyscrapers downtown with about 30k in attendance. She used it as a weapon all night.... I can't say enough!!!! BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!
Down here in Charlotte... WE LOVE YOU Mrs. Benatar. Plz come back and do it again next year!!!
This woman here is who made me the tough ass that I am today. LOL Sweet, nice, yet sassy and takes no junk from anyone!! I loved her then and I love her now.. she's in a class by herself.
Man..i don't think i've ever seen her look so fine as in this vid...and that little drummer, Myron Grombacher...what a monster drummer, love the way his head turns back n forth on the downbeat.
@dls61964 love Pat, so many girls and movies show good sweet women singing Carly Simon, but a movie needs to be made about the HEART and the inside fire and blaze of the women who Loves and connects with Pat and who she becomes. It's past time.
whoa I forgot about this song..this is awesome..i cant tell if thats a cigerette or a sucker stick..I hear shes just as rockin as ever. I play a couple of her songs in my band, Gerado is an amazing guitarist..his leads are a lot of fun,,very structured..thanks to whoever posted this!
for all haters of pat..she has a 5 octave range..and where is your album and your awards..and she has lasting power cuz she has been around for YEARS and she and her band aren't going anywhere anytime soon...SHE IS THE BOMB and the reason i started singing when i heard 'hell is for children' when i was 15...and i got to share a stage with her..so if you don't have anything nice to say...keep it to yourself...cuz you can't beat miss benatar..Cudos to you pat and your band..
People like Pat benatar shoulda neba ebbed ova time, no matter how heavily associated she was with one decade. She's still fresh, an' she can still outrock so many so called singas.
Number one all time chic rock band in the world, no one can sing; even close like her......And I can not believe her husband is smoking a cigarette while playing lead guitar..............Incredible
Benatar was good at what she did, and this song was one of her better offerings. Classic 80's tunes fit together like pieces of a puzzle, forming the 1980's into ten years of great memories.
God, she was/still is so damn sexy...I've seen her every tour since the beginning and she still has one of the best voices I've ever heard..her husband is a great guitarist to boot!
I was going to dedicate this to my ex, but I might as well dedicate this song to myself as well considering what I put a much better guy through. It hurts but I'd understand if the new guy wants nothing to do with me.
A++++++ Great song and video..I wore my albun out listening to this song...This song wouldnt be what it is without the key boards..it was not done to make it more radio friendly, it was just a trend to use alot of synthesizers in the early 80's... Pat is just another reason growing up in the early 80's was the best.
The keyboards water this song down too much. This song would have sounded much better in their early days when they were a two-guitar band. I think that the Pat Benatar Band went with a more keyboard sound to become more radio-friendly and AOR to sell more records. MTV was pushing for more pop sounding music after 1983. Their format changed to pop and the Pat Benatar Band wanted to go with this new format and direction.
awesome song can't find it anywhere... this is to my ex i hope he gets the message lol love you pat your lyrics always hit home for me one of the many talents of the 80's and the most memorable
This ex-opera singer blew me away in her Anxiety tour which rocked ! This lady has it all and still looks and feels great today . . . her voice has taken its toll and she doesn't belt them out quite so rambunctiously !

And besides, if we're going to comment on health issues, I think it's a safe statement to make that obesity is outweighing the smokers nowadays in the U.S. by a wide margin.
Hey, almost thirty years later I bet they wish they didn't smoke...ask Eddie Van Halen...it also looks foolish to smoke and play guitar at the same time...thats all I'm sayin........
I saw a photo recently of Neil and his team that had completed the Hana Relay race (52 miles , mind you) and finished second in their division.
