  • When i was 13 i was 220 and my lifts were as follows:

    Bench 235

    Squat 350

    Deadlift 405

    leg press 550

    so the kid in the video is strong but not impressive.

  • well yeah but there are like 4 videos of you on youtube and every single one has bad form. both of the squats are halfway down, and i don't know why you jumped up 40 pounds if you didn't break parallel, and both deadlifts have you rounding your back and not driving through your legs. just post a video of you doing good form with anything and people will stop saying it, nobody hates you, they just don't want to see you kill yourself doing this stuff.

  • i'm just letting you know, it's not the weight that messed it up, it's your form. you don't push your hips low and drive through the legs, you yank on the bar. your squat video has you going halfway down on the squats. as i said, you're strong, but you need a coach because you're miles away from having acceptable form.

Take your lifts to a sanctioned powerlifting meet, compete, take videos of the competitions and then post your numbers. Then you'll have something to brag about. Until then don't comment about Darian or anyone else's lifts until you can prove your lifts to be true. Time to step up or SHUT UP!!

  • Interesting comment coming from people that don't have any videos of themselves doing any of these lifts. Darian holds 4-World Records in the APA, 4-World Records in the RAW United and is leaving tomorrow to compete in the USAPL Europa Show of Champions in Orlando, Fl. on Sat. 4-18-09. Without a doubt he will walk away with another 4 World Records this weekend as well.

    12-14 is okay to start light/moderate weight-training and 15-16 for heavy training.

    -When I was 16, I was squatting 150kg@74kg with no belt or wraps.

    - By the time I was 19, I was squatting 240kg@82kg, again with no belt or wraps.

  • lol im 17 165 pounds(prlby a lil less now) and can bench 120lbs and tried squats but gave up cause i dint do it right lol cuase i put the bar on my vertabrae at the neck joint and it just hurts i think i attempted 75 pounds lol and gave up good for me, but i work out at least 6 days a week for 1hr 30 mins and am not for muscle as my original goal but for toning my body and endurance, dont wonna be 1 of those meat head who cant run a mile

I am 15 and can deadlift 400, squat 405, bench 260, and power clean 225. been working out since i was 14, when i super weak/skinny with my 8lb dumbell which i could barely lift. all natural and drug free, just pure hard work and determination is all you need. keep up the good work and youll be great someday.

  • He is 5'5''. He is extremely stromg for his age. He has been exercising since he was 6 years old. Playing football, baseball, tennis, BMX racing, skateboarding and anything else physically active. In the last year he has really become serious about powerlifting. Myself as well as the Strength and Conditioning Coach from FGCU's Powerlifting Team have been working with him. He wants to compete in a Powerlifting meet in June in Tampa, Fl. He should be ready for it.
