  • This is a very good group and they sound terrific. There was a group in Ithaca, New York in the early 1970s named "Hot Sweets" that played and R&B, Tower of Power, Donnie Hathaway-type repertoire that featured Oliver Wiggins, Sam Hayward, Al Heartland, Bob Leinbach, and a guitar player named "Al" whose last name escapes me at the moment. If anyone who reads this has any recordings or video of the "Ithaca" Hot Sweets, please please post it to YouTube.
