when i was watching i thought it rather ignorant of him to remain seated for that round. it looked as if he said - i dont normally do this round so why should i now that frankie isnt doing it? 3 people looked so daft

Frnakie is giving up stand-up, which is why every figures he's not doing it and (as far as I'm aware) David doesn't do stand up either.

So it seems a bit cold hearted to hate on him for not changing his billing just because Frankie changed his.

i dont hate him - i happen to think he adds something to the show when hes on but having 3 people looks stupid in the standup round. i know its all whose line jokey with the fake points but if they just cut all that crap and have it as every man for himself and have one seriously chosen winner that would be more appopriate for the direction the shows taking

PS The difference between the US and UK usage of the word "fannie" has been a problem for me over the years. Thanks to Russell's tale of his mum's "magic fannie" I think I'll be able to keep that straight for the rest of my life. Getting the image out of my head might be harder

Frankie's clearly gonna finish the series in the penalty box, and David Mitchell and Hugh Denis aren't stand ups so they always sit this round out. I actually wondered about this when I saw the line up and thought maybe it's a sign that Frankie's gonna get up there again.

We all sort of assumed that Frankie was told to sit the stand up round out, but does anyone know if that's true? Any chance he's just not writing material at the moment?
