Trikke vs Bike has nothing to do with which one is faster. The bike is a more efficient way to move...
But the Trikke is a helluva lot more fun to ride, and delivers a full body workout... I learned how to ride on a T78 with air tires, and just bought a T12 off of Craig's List...
I can tackle all but the steepest hills, both up and down... I ride between 6 and 9 miles/day on a bike trail in Charlotte, NC... I've never had more fun getting a great workout... ever... like flying...effortless.

U don't have 2 take up as much space as he did in this video, u can do small carves but Its all on personal preference, some people like rollerblading, skatrboarding or riding a bike or trikke. If u don't like either of them, just don't buy one, its that simple!
Not practical using the trikke on most suburban roads unless they are devoid of traffic since it uses up more space than a bike. Looks like fun but has it's limitations especially in a populated area.

There are serious problems getting started from still on a hill , moving on wet road and serious tyre wear , especially on the front wheel.. and the feet are loosing the grip on bumpy roads...

Well, I think the video has a point if you're using the bike for excercising, but for commute, I still think a bike is better. At least here in West LA, there's no room for a trikke on any street.
the idea is fitness. you could never achieve the level of fitness on a bike that a trikke will bring you to. I go up hills and down I have logged over 1000 miles, lost 60 lbs and feel better than I ever have. It is slower than a bike but if I need to get somewhere I take my car

I saw one these Trikkes in a local park last week, for the first time. The guy said he paid about $600 for it and has had it a month. The smallest hill slowed him down to a crawl, and he had to get off and walk it the rest of the way up the hill. He also is having a problem with the brakes on it, and can't find anyone local to fix it... $600 worth of junk, if you ask me.

Trikkes are without a doubt the best full bodied workout I've ever done. It takes a bit to learn it ride it, but it is well worth the effort. Hill climbing is the best part once you get the hang of it.

Great video (except for that ass grab at the end. Ouch!). I'm thinking about getting a trikke. It's supposed to give you a better work out than just running or biking. 25% more effective since your using pretty much everything.
The only thing is I'm looking for one for around 130-150 dollars. Mainly because it would be my first one and I want to make sure I like it before I invest in anything more advanced. Do you have any recommendations?
I got a 'triski' from ebay - basically same, but a lot less - I think mine was about 139for a TS8. Wheels are interchangeable with trikkes, too. From username jimx98 - I just looked, and it doesn't look like he has any listed right now, but you might send him a msg. Hope this helps.
In 2008 there were 18,500,000 bikes sold, and they didn't have to sell them on an infomercial in order to sucker people into buying them. You can actually go to a dealer and buy one. Try that with a Trikke... They will be out of business pretty soon, if they can't figure a way to dell them.
The Trikker looks like a moron swerving back and forth. They should show a picture of the bike and Trikke going up the hill. You will see how slow the Trikke is compared to the bike.

It looks like it would be a decent workout, but I ride about 125 miles a week, go on club rides, tours, etc and I haven't seen one of these Trikkes yet, Not one.... If they were so good, you would see them at least once in awhile. It is more fun and better exercise than my bikes.. I commute 5 miles to work on one each nice day and lost 40 lbs since March 1st.. I average 11 or 12 mph on the commute which is a decent pace for me to get a good workout and some have fun doing it....

I am a road cyclist and now a Trikker. I don't give up my bike for a trikke I use them both. We went 20 miles yesterday on the bike trail and it was very fun. The bike works your cardio and legs but the trikke is a full body. Trikke and bike both is what I say.

I saw one these Trikkes in a local park last week, for the first time. The guy said he paid about $600 for it and has had it a month. The smallest hill slowed him down to a crawl, and he had to get off and walk it the rest of the way up the hill. He also is having a problem with the brakes on it, and can't find anyone local to fix it... $600 worth of junk, if you ask me.

Trikkes are without a doubt the best full bodied workout I've ever done. It takes a bit to learn it ride it, but it is well worth the effort. Hill climbing is the best part once you get the hang of it.

Great video (except for that ass grab at the end. Ouch!). I'm thinking about getting a trikke. It's supposed to give you a better work out than just running or biking. 25% more effective since your using pretty much everything.
The only thing is I'm looking for one for around 130-150 dollars. Mainly because it would be my first one and I want to make sure I like it before I invest in anything more advanced. Do you have any recommendations?

I got a 'triski' from ebay - basically same, but a lot less - I think mine was about 139for a TS8. Wheels are interchangeable with trikkes, too. From username jimx98 - I just looked, and it doesn't look like he has any listed right now, but you might send him a msg. Hope this helps.

In 2008 there were 18,500,000 bikes sold, and they didn't have to sell them on an infomercial in order to sucker people into buying them. You can actually go to a dealer and buy one. Try that with a Trikke... They will be out of business pretty soon, if they can't figure a way to dell them.

It looks like it would be a decent workout, but I ride about 125 miles a week, go on club rides, tours, etc and I haven't seen one of these Trikkes yet, Not one.... If they were so good, you would see them at least once in awhile. There are no dealers anywhere around, no place for people to test ride them, etc. Comparing that to bicycles is like comparing automobiles to Hovercraft,,,,,,,,,,,

It is more fun and better exercise than my bikes.. I commute 5 miles to work on one each nice day and lost 40 lbs since March 1st.. I average 11 or 12 mph on the commute which is a decent pace for me to get a good workout and some have fun doing it....
Those that think it is all about speed must really think that walking and jogging are preposterous and have harsh words for all others going slower than bikes?
Most with negative comments on Trikke Carving Vehicles have not tried one.

The Trikke is lucky if they are still in business in a couple of years, They just hired a new company president, and that usually signals problems with their sales. It also seems like they are focusing on their electric powered models because they get almost $2,000 for one.

There is a recent article in Time Magazine about the Pon-e electric Trikke... True, it is about $1800, but this is still much cheaper than a segway.

I ordered an R-12 and an R-8 last night. I am really suprised to hear that some of you think they look gay. I saw it on tv and got stoked. I am no dick smoker, not do I have any tendencies toward such behavior. From what I am reading online, I suspect that the people hating Trikkes are mainy 14 years old and under.

I used to be 240 lbs, but am now 200 lbs due to trikking..
The whole point of the video is to try to promote some more interest in Trikke not to say it would ever replace a bike... As one who has tried both, and I do like biking too, I agree that Trikking is more fun, and a better workout....
I don't really care if you think I look like a moron riding one or not... Most comments are very positive, and they think it is cool, so you are in the minority there anyway...

No, the poimnt of the video was to compare cycling, ( done by millions and millions of people for decades) with riding a Trikke ( done by a small number of people for a few years) and make it look like cycling isn't as much fun. I do not find Biking boring, and I still do some biking and inline skating... For me, I just find the Trikke ride more fun and a better workout is all... And being new is part of the point... IMHO:
Trikke is excellent workout device, I've got some problems going uphill, but maybe because I bought used one which has quite loose joints already.
For the bike, I plan to get a recumbent (no pain in the ass) soon primarily as a long distance vehicle.

I am a road cyclist and now a Trikker. I don't give up my bike for a trikke I use them both. We went 20 miles yesterday on the bike trail and it was very fun. The bike works your cardio and legs but the trikke is a full body. Trikke and bike both is what I say.

Who gets more exercise??? WTF, bikes were a mean of transportation before cars, not to work out.. You don't need to get worked out when going to you job, or to the movies with that cutey... That's why it's meant to be comfy, not to get you tired...
Besides, the slalom may be fun for a couple minutes... Hours at most... But whenever you need to go forward? C'mon! What's the point?
