Brother Ted actually plays the G - D fill riff as open arpeggios in order to let the D - G - D open strings ring. check out the Ted Nugent [Cat Scratch Fever] Live video from ZXEMAN313, you'll see Ted making a definate G and D shape on those arpeggios. Nice work. Keep practicing.

Playing with your thumb behind the neck might help, after all it is the correct way to play guitar, and tune it down on the distortion, its too heavy, we cant hear what you are playing. Also push your fingers down harder for less harmonics.

I've been a fan of his ,some 25 years and have never seen him playing a Fender Stratocaster.

I've only seen him play Gibson Les Pauls,Gibson Byrdlands,and recently PRS (Paul Reed Smith).

it's obviously him playing the song over a backing track. The guitar is not ted nugent. You can hear mistakes in timing and the guitar string harmonics, I doubt ted nugent would produce a recording. Good job playing the song.
