I don't know about emotional or physical pain, but I definitely seem to have it for thermal. In the shower, I don't like the setting too hot in comparison to others... not that I shower with many people, but you know.
I'm not redheaded but I think I have the MC1R gene too! My dad has reddish brown hair. Are you less sensitive to physical pain and more sensitive to thermal and emotional pain???
