This is one of best routine of every time, IMMORTAL.

Only a champion could do that.

@katja8619 but alina has much more difficulties isnt it? she jumps higher, can do more difficult and more pivots. yulia dindnt even try backscale and this stuff. i think its important to count these hard elements too, because its sport and not just elegance competition, right? of course barsukova is amazing but its not a show, its sport so difficulty counts more than visual appearance...and you simply cant deny that alinas turns and so on are more difficult. thats why she always won

Many people says that Kabaeva deserves gold in Sidney, but guys, she's got only flexy back and she smiles, she jumps, she smiles regardless of the music was. In RG there are elegance, grace balance, refinemente, and Barsukova has these characterists, Kabaeva NO

She didn't deserve this gold and Athens gold...Tchachina or Bessonova deserved, but not Kabaeva

Poor thing she was SO nervous!!! I've seen videos of her doing this routine flawlessly! It's gorgeous and at the end she's supposed to balance the ball on her foot. Her nerves unfortunately got the best of her here, but she still won gold!

no its cause she felt the ball was going to fall and didnt want to risk her gold medal and it worked she got gold in the olympics

This always bring tears to my eyes, such perfection. She didnt rest the ball on her foot as she usually would in this routine, as she said she felt the ball wasnt stable and could feel it slip, and didnt want to risk dropping it. But even without her signature skill I think this is the most beautiful rhythmic routine I have ever seen.Just beautiful.

@ralucagymnast Yes, she could have fix the ball in her feet, but she wouldn't have been on time to perform the slow turn with the music, so she prefered to respect the musical touch of the balance.
