the passion does live on.. but it does die, it turns into more of a negative feeling... kind of like.. lost hope and tremendous sadness... i tore both my acl's and i still play roller just cus i cant NOT play. luckily (sort of) im finally getting surgery on both and after one FULL year of rehab.. i get to go back to ice after 8 years... the passion slowly became tears of sorrow and something i guess a word cant explain.. just unhappiness i guess

I agree, any injury caused like that could definately end a career - but the passion would live on.
