Thats me and the dark side at 3:59 thanks for taking this video. Very expensive weekend but worth every penny. Just want to say well done to everyone that did the whole lot. What a great bunch of people i met.
I think around 750 left Lanark, more were joining the convoy en route to Banbury and as I understand it, the hope was that over 1,000 would eventually join, thus breaking the previous world record (set by Fiat)...
I know what you mean Mattew however it was a fitting forum from which many of his fans (led by his father) were able to pay tribute in their way, and also I believe raised money for various charities which Colin supported during his life.
Stood and watched (and waved at!) the enormous convoy on the M40 earlier today as the drivers left Prodrive and headed up to Junction 15. My arm was dead after about 50 minutes of waving!
Nice one guys. Was an awesome sight and fitting tribute to Colin McRae.
I was on the M6 heading down to Lancaster in my van, and i thought the amount of people on EVERY flyover bridge i saw was good to see. Just ordinary people paying respects to an extraordinary man. One thing though, you must've wanted to lamp that bloke in the black coat and rucksack,.....it was winding me up in the end!!!!!!!!!.
I like that comment, 'ordinary people paying respects to an extraordinary man' - spot on mate.....and too right I wanted to lamp that bloke with the rucksack who came and stood RIGHT IN THE WAY (photographer as well, you'd think he might have known better) anyway, I hope it didn't spoil it too much!
i think you would be dead within a minute if would show up in an evo
