I have followed mentzers approach in the past and enjoyed the training, but poper diet sleep and lots of water allowed me to train 4 days a week and gain consistently.
Trial & error: If you dont improve every workout, take another day off. "Body By Science" also believes there should be some -more- time off, in addition to a full recuperation, before the next workout. Why? : TO LIVE YOUR LIFE, enjoying your new strength, instead of immediately using it up in another workout. The typical gym schedule leaves a trainee weak all the time, back in the gym by the time they're ok. If the only reason you work out is to work out some more, fine, but that's not life.
It seems like you always start Big 3 with the lower body portion. Is that true, if so and why? Thanks

Does this type of training require more than 7 days to recover?
