This show got me into Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - went out and bought Murder Ballads that week and everything else soon after. If I remember rightly Iggy Pop was on the same show in his clear plastic pants?!

nick cave is fucking badass. everything he does is great, i never liked PJ Harvey though, she is such an overrated poseur/. , I love his duets with Kylie Minougue much more.

i watched this with my mum waaaay back when the white room was on. I was dancing about the place, but she just sat there in absolute horror. I wasnt even allowed to mention Nicks name after that.

you and I are the same age. when I was 14 I played a bootled cd of Marilyn Manson a song called "cake and sodomy" and my mom had the same reaction. not comparing the artists, Nick Cave is fucking legendary poet whereas manson is trash, but your story reminded me of my manson story.
