... with the SE3 it's usually just a lube problem. Take the pistons out and carefully clean them and the inside of the cylinders. Lube with good steam oil. She'll work like a charm! And keep oiling the oil swamps while she's running. :-)
Ive sorted the problem on this one some time ago, the issue was with the tighness of the crankshaft and with a little minor adjustement to get a little more end float she works fine. Thanks for the comment though.

I had an SP5 that was slow too. I tried for weeks to fix it and finally just gave it away.
