Our number ones are a navy blue tunic with navy blue trousers and a briht red stripe down the leg. Get yourself a life or i will skullfuck you.

  • @RausageSolls Don't cry just because the RAFs no1s are better :p

  • @h07swilkinson96 RAF's number 1's are dull. I love all our forces though so im not going to argue like a little bitch.

  • @h07swilkinson96 first of all you prick thats not no1s okay?

Say that to a marine and see what you get prick!

  • i can't imagine how intense the feeling must be when you finally put the green beret on.

  • @CheckOutMyTurban Going the distance - Bill Conti. From Rocky.

    My personal favourite training song.

  • I have known Royal Marines and without exception they were not only the fittest, toughest and most self-motivated people I have known, but they were also amongst the most decent and honourable with a morale code which seems to be instilled in them. The best of the best within the British forces and they do us very proud.

  • yeah, the song at 0:23, what is it?

  • Is it me or did he look like he grew six inches taller when he put his green beret on!

  • @ilovenitnat Great comment oppo

38 week's tends to do that.....Take a look at Royal Marines Brothers in Arms on here

Kind reagards ..........A very old bootneck

  • The moment when you received that 'Green Beret' must have been the best feeling on earth!!! Well deserved aswell!!! I am thinking about joining the Royal Marines at the moment........................if i do go for it this is all that will go through my head when speed marching and yomping over dartmoor!!!

  • I wasan Able Seaman in the Navy in HMS Endurance during the Falklands war I looked after the SBS before they went ashore to retake South Georgia with Hot tea and buscuits they all came back safe.

After they went off to retake the main Falklands later one of the SBS known as Skoby came back to the Endurance at the end of the war and told me about Kiwi (SBS)he use to do press ups ready for beating the Guinness book of records he was killed by friendly fire, May he RIP.I will never forget

  • Congratulations Marine

  • Gives me chills all over. Great video.

  • this moment, is my inspiration

  • the hair still stands up on the back of my neck thinking about the day i got my lid , 28 years ago

  • what a proud moment, well done Royal !

  • Congrats from US Marine Corps.

  • Top Vidio pal, Hope some day this will be me Long way to go before i can even think about getting the green lid.

  • An excellent video, makes me want to join up and do it all over again.

  • Why, I ask why, does there have to be a debate over which military is better? People, being proud is one thing, being arrogant is another. Please grow up.

  • looking at these men make me so proud of who is protecting our contry and make me even prouder to think that i can be a part of this when the time is right congratulations to your brother best wish

  • My mate passed out around may/june 2010 and now in 42. I got my psychometric test next week.

  • @MetalMatt2510 Best of luck

  • @tubsandtiles3

Cheers but it was delayed due to me being a rejoin and not have correct documentation so they need the okay from the Royal Navy to process me through, so i just need to wait from a new date now.

  • I was USMC grunt with 2 tours in the "sand box". The thing is training NEVER stops during your entire enlistment weather you are a Royal Marine or USMC so no training is really longer than the others. On the killing field we both come out on top. Put it this way...Royal Marines are about the last men I would EVER want to tangle with, or any british grunt for that matter...ie Gurkhas, Paras, SAS, SBS, Brits are proffesionals on the battlefield, thank god we are on the same team.

  • Nothing comes close to the feeling of pride you get wearing that green lid !

  • SALT OF THE EARTH

  • This gives me the chills, in a good way

  • bursting with pride i bet

  • why compare the us marines and the Royals, most of you arent even in the military anyway...

  • That bottom field gives me nightmares and shivers.

  • Congratulations!

    Must be a great honour.

I can only wait for mine.

    Congratulations once again.

  • How come every time I watch a YouTube video related to the British Armed Forces, this same asinine 'RM VS USMC' is still raging?

  • @Simps3210 because these people have nothing else to argue about, it is very sad considering we fight along side each other and are their to support each other

  • para trained marine. Doesn't get any better than that.

  • I can just see Rocky with a green beret now...

  • awsome video mate! booking my prmc tomorrow absolutely buzzing!

  • If my brother did that to me when I passed out I would be fuming! Good effort lad!! hahaha

That chad music you put over the top is a pisser too

  • Hoofin Video mate.

  • i think that physically the Royal Marines have a harder training because of the 30 week course as oppsed to the 13 week USMC training. USMC has a more mentally challenging boot camp with physical challenges that can push you. Either way, you're a Marine in the end and no one is better than you

  • @RedRampage55 i'm a us marine and our training is only 13 weeks but we attend and additional 4 weeks for infantry and then and additional 104 weeks to become recon marines which is about the same as royal marines commandos. But as a marine us or uk we are all brothers. i know that i'm not going to let something like a pond separate us.....

  • @KidSparx84 Well said mate

  • My Dad passed out August 1942

    Portsmouth

    Marine J.A..Lovett POX 105353.of 47,48 commando

  • Stay safe.

    From an Ex Jack

  • what alovely video.

well done marine hughes and all the others

  • Hopefully this day will be also mine.

  • I can't imagine the pride they felt that day.

  • wow...

  • I just wanted to say thank you

I was privaliged to watch this Video I was never a Royal Marine But I was a officer in the Light Infantry and I admire the RM so much

    They are second to none

  • Congratulations Mne. Hughes, and tro your Brother, for the editing of the video

  • amaricans go for quantaty... uk go for quality ;)

  • @dammo1993 Hey the USMC, the smallest arm of the U.S. Armed forces is 250,000 strong. the Royal Marines have 8,000 in their Corps. The USMC is larger than the entire U.K military establishment combined. The UK RMC can be compared to U.S. Army Ranger Regiments, much smaller more elite and mission focused. There will never be a UK RMC division or Corps, arguing over who is better is not the point, the USMC came from the UK RMC. I believe that connection is the source of their mutual respect.

  • @dammo1993 well said

  • Hm, I've never seen a british royal marine passing ceremony before. I got to see a video of my friends USMC ceremony though and it was pretty awesome. Congratulations to the young man and his family here, from what I hear this is an amazing accomplishment. Gotta love the Military on both sides of the pond!

  • nice music if i can remember it is form the rocky legends video game

  • I served 26 years and looking at these lovely British lads, I wish them Godspeed and envy them the excitment ahead of them, sadly I envy them their youth also. God bless them all.

  • the pride on these lads faces is fantastic to see. i wish every one of them well in there future . your country is very proud of all of you.

  • you must be so proud, i went to sign up for the RM but i have to wait another 2 years cos i had a problem with my asthma in 2008, but i have now been cleared of my asthma and cant wait to leave for my training in 2012

  • @Jefferz8142 unlucky you have 2 wait

i wanted to join at sixteen in 2012 but its a lot of pressure on the folks cause of the age

but im now working hard to join as an officer in the RM and cant wait any longer

but still i have about 5 more years because of that

  • All the Best to your bro!!!

  • who is the man speaking from 1:17 to 4:40 ??

btw your brother looks fucking champion

  • The joy there must be in putting on that Beret, I plan to go for POC after A levels, not long to go now

  • @marctb1 r u getting a degree in something or r you gottin stuck streight in cause i would realy like to know cause i wanna join ASAP

please reply when you see this message

  • well done lads, must've felt good to get that green beret.

  • What's the song at 5:50? My Shazam isn't working.

  • enya-now we are free *goosebumps*

  • makes me proud to be a brit WELL DONE LADS WE ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!

  • Seriously mate, all i can say to this is "shit hot"! well done!

  • much respect for the royal Marine commandos.

  • regardless of all this eyecandy the question is what can you hope to achieve by going to afghanistan. There's nothing over there for westerners. There no way to make any kind of life doing this. YOu have to question the point of it. there's millions of soviet mines still left there and god knows what. YOu should seriously think of the consequences. hundreds of people have been serious injured over there. Do you want to be the next. never enter a situation u cannot win

  • @Lunarlaserranging

Im sorry... eyecandy of afgan?? are you messed up? im going for royal marines, got an invterview next week, im not doing it to go to afgan for the glory or what ever it is you have in your head. Im doing it out of respect, im the type of person that cant just sit and work at a desk, the royal marines are the best, i always seek to better myself... what better way is there then to have a green beret? as YOURSELF the question, why are you disrespecting this men?

  • @Spanulator i am exactly the smae as you

ive told my friends and family that a cant picture myself at a desk and ive always wanted to do this sinse i was 8.

    im itching to join

  • @Spanulator theres only 1 thing better than getting the green beret , and thats being accepted into the SBS

  • @Lunarlaserranging if you tell everyone to quit or not join an they did, britain wouldnt have a military and we would be srewed

what im tryin to say is someones got 2 do it and if you have the state of mind like us then you should do it

if you do not die then you have actually lived your life more than people doin everyday jobs

but i gues everyones entitled to their own oppinion so u can decide what to think

  • Comment removed

  • They should all be getting footballers wages. Top lads!

  • @nineoclockhorse too right and footballers should get beans

all they do is ponce around on a pitch for 90 minutes, while rm are away for 6 months waking up every moring wondering whether they will see the sun set

  • @nineoclockhorse best idea ive ever heard

    top man

  • Excellent Video!!!!

  • at reinder666

Respect to the Cloggies, nearly as good as the booties ;)

you guys are the dogs bollocks,

  • i would love to join the marines but the think is i got a criminal record :(

  • That was very well done great tribute to your brother. You must be very proud of him.

  • Best of luck guys! Give 'em hell!!!

    /Swedish Royal Marines!

  • good job lad

  • just found out i cant join after training for it so long, asthma...

  • was that the officer ceremony?

  • Hoofin!

  • Great video thanks for sharing. My mate just arrived at Lympstone today to start his training.

  • Many congratulations on your brother's passing out.I would like to wish him all the the best for his future as a RMC.I respect him for serving his country as an elite soldier.

  • commommm, USMC training is less than half that of a royal marine. royal marines are elite commando's with basically the toughest training in the world. the USMC can be compared to our army infantry, the only thing USMC and RMC have in common is the word 'marine'. so no, they wouldnt 'fuck up a royal marine'

  • @gogz16 i take it you havent seen SAS or SBS training? or to an extent paras?

  • @gogz16 i agree with everything u say except its not the toughest training in the world...but it is the toughest training in the world straight from civi street

  • respect to him and the RMC

anyone who gets in is worth 10 USMC

muppets - USMC is about as close to the sea as the grand canyon

  • You think so? Is that why we train your guys? Marines and Seals...dumbass!

  • @Timhya100 US Marines dont train royal marine commandos, RMC train for 32weeks, US Marines train for 16weeks and its the special boat service which train RMC an special boat service train the navy seals

  • McT...I know mate, I was pointing to the fact that some of the yanks were trained by the British. Not the other way around.

  • Dutch commando's 18 months;)

  • Good luck Oppo

Worked with you Guys in the 70s

  • u never hear about great dutch commando victorys

  • Not thats because all their missions are secret. They are trained to perform missions with a low kinetic energy but high effect. So no you don't hear about great glorious victories. When our regular guys get into trouble they come to get things done.

  • Another Incorrect Statement. Do your research

  • I do it on a daily basis son.

  • Lol

  • good on him it is 32 weeks of hell.

  • well said Yetti, indeed the american marines are nothing like our ROYAL MARINE COMMANDO'S.

I have the proud honour to be father to one of them, and two riflemen.

  • whats the name of the song at 8:37?

  • Superb Vid

Must say I felt a tad of oggin roll down my face at one point.

    Is he still with 45

    An old bootneck buddy

  • This is a very nice video. You must be very proud of him. Well done.

  • If you idiots had any brains you'd realize the USMC is nothing like the RMC....USMC is literally an Army in itself. It has its own air wing, logistics and armor assets.

Hence why there are 200K+ US Marines and only 8,000 Royal Marines. The only thing they share in common is the word Marine.

  • Do some research, padawan.

  • I wish they all come home safely from Afghanistan

  • usmc have nothing on the royal marines but their equiptment, all youre fancy shit. Soldier wise, RMC are the best in the world hands down.

  • Great job capturing this unique moment!

  • Well done mate... i just applied.. its going to be a long road...

  • good luck mate, i only survived 14 weeks i got medically discharged....

  • How the hell did you get Medically discharged?

  • during a speed march i was running down hill on soft grass terrain and my foot slipped into a hole and i fell forward and broke my ankle, im going back when im fully recovered though fingers crossed.

  • i HOPE IT GOES WELL FOR YA..!

    What are you going into?

  • your marines are made up of women and under weight mexicans who cant do 3 chin ups

  • dude I cn do ova 100 pull up... nt sure wat ur on about!!

  • yeah bullshit.

  • Hahahaha...............!!! Mexicans LOL

  • haha yea i was referring to an irritating yank who was boasting that the usmc were the best, there good but there not that good!

  • Dude... i know..

What you think i cant read or something? FUCK YOU ASHOLE..!

  • peace brother dont shooooot ::::::::))))))))))))

  • I was kidding mate, just havng a laugh with ya whilst i work.....

Yea that Mexican comment made me fucking laugh man...!

  • hey faceshit... f u had ne sense!!! you will know royal marines are sub-standard troops with basic everything!!! our USMC are the toughest there is buddy... look it up bitch!!!!

  • you dont know shit about the RMC. infact by the sounds of things you cant tell the difference between your own thumb and your mothers sweaty cock.

  • Faceshit u fag!!! y u gotta take it there n ur mom's a dirty midget tranny wid a peg leg u tard!!!

  • Funny how your lot are always amazed at how far we yomp with the weight we have on our backs. Funny story for you, on deployment with the USMC once, two of your boys went down with dehydration. We asked have you drunk your water. The reply was we don't have any. We looked in their water bottles. Guess waht was in there? ---------PEPSI. They went to fight a war with pepsi in their bottles. The Royal Marines are not substandard and ANY AMERICAN with military knowledge fully appreciates this.

  • I'm glad the Royal Marines and the US are on the same side...Congrats to the graduates!
