@auntiemb renting is expensive over a long periof of time, although i know you mentioned you were short but if your going to grow anymore then i wouldnt buy a 3/4 cello just yet. becauise then when its time for a full size you'll have to buy a new one. jsut things to consider. p.s. watch some of his other videos on buy used cellos so that you know what makes one good or bad. I do have a used cello and its amazing but you just have to be careful
I don't play cello (yet), but your videos make me want to learn it so badly. I admire this instrument and the videos. Keep them coming. Cheers from Brazil :)
Should also mention pencil lead on the grooves of the nut as part of this process. Also, most cellos sound best with a straight post but there are exceptions. Can also cut a business card almost in half lengthwise and use that to see where the post is in relation to the foot of the bridge. I've seen some crazy positions. It is sometimes important to squeeze the tailcord together as it goes over the saddle and centered on the saddle is not always the optimal position.
I feel sorry for those cellos too !! That video was fun and makes you take responsibility for your instrument and prevent problems in the long run.
