i really like this for some reason. it sounds way more pop than the other versions, like something the vaselines would do. i know kurt loved them. my favorite version will always be the one from the muddy banks of the wishkah album though, its the only one ive heard where he starts yelling at the end like usual

I don't think he condoned it obviously, but he makes the rapist sound like a depressed man who's just taking it out on someone else. It's wrong, but it's sympathizing with the rapist from his point of view oppossed to the girl and her torture.

hmm, empathizing maybe, but probably not sympathy. Still, I don't see how he's condemning him. The words seem to relect the mind of someone like that through Kurts eyes. It's such a violent act that the song portrays as kind of natural and harmonous... kind of fucked up if you think about it.
