my OCD is more of my thoughts rather then putting things in order, though i do occasionally have the urge to have to touch something in certain angles, it sucks, it attacks the things i love
I also suffer from ocd im a 35yr old male uk. My ocd began when i was young about 20 but i never knew what it was and never let it bother me until about 2 years ago after alot of stress from work and other stuff it began to go a bit crazy.I would find myself checking doors, windows, car handbrake, gas cooker etc.It takes up alot of my time and im always late.I think the best way to cure ocd is do what i did see your gp and try CBT sessions they really work.Ocd is all in the mind n needs to stop
It has also to do with the world not being a paradise. I have terror thoughts and dreams about being invaded in my home. I check the front door hundreds of times.
I totally agree with what you are saying and i missed out on catching up with you on stickam last week, i was assisting with the speechcraft graduation dinner and didnt come home until late...definately will try and chat to you next time you are on stickam. :)
I have the same feelings in my life about OCD. The order or things and everything has to be in straight line. Its not a problem but I wonder if it can get worse.
I dont have a definate answer but based on my own experience, as long as you are aware of why you are doing it and it doesn't interfere with your day to day living, it is normal. Regular people are allowed to be neat. That is my two cents(advice)for the day!
Wow...is that a good thing? Hopefully it means an opportunity to make more friends! Not that i dont cherish the ones i have already but i know you guys know that!
Pardon me while I go add apostrophes you missed, dot your i's, and add commas!!! LOLOL Oh wait, you already did all that. Ok, my job here is done!! Have a great day!!
i dont know if this counts but when im reading something i have to read it over and over again until i understand it comepletly or to check that i havent missed out a word by reading to fast tis scary
This is a great video! I love it! I tend to have ocd tendencies, but not full blown ocd. I'm glad that you can have some humor about your own situation. it must be difficult sometimes.
Of course i dont mind...*looks at you with big doe eyes fluttering my eyelashes* i was wondering...i actually having trouble with the whole website thing and your website looks great....can i ask for your help?
no problemo...just going to get myself organised and i'll definately email you...(still need to finish off the 3 videos i didnt get done on the christmas holidays)
Thanks Kory.....I think i would be nice if our government provided more assistance (such as support group or education) into this disorder...but anyways...best of luck in getting to Disneyland...im saving up money and annual leave myself so that hopefully i will be able to go there before i turn 40! UGHHHH.....
I don't know much about OCD, but it reminds a bit of my own anxiety disorder. You become anxious when you're not able or haven't yet finished your rituals, and I become anxious if my routine is changed. Would be better to not have any of these problems! :)
Hi Maryann, thanks for commenting...i tried to upload my anxiety video after this OCD one however it keep on exceeding the time limit...but i totally understand about the anxiety thing....I'm still getting counselling for it.... One of life's lessons i guess....one way to grow as a person i suppose...hope you are enjoying the festive season with family and friends, cheers!
