Woad is identical in both color and chemistry to indigofera tinctoria and the dye from the Murex snail.

what qualities or uses does woad have, i have only heard of it as a body dye used by ancient britons? very interesting thanks mike

it can be used to dye clothes n stuff aswell

@MIKETHEGLASS it is chemically almost the same dye as indigo - it was used to dye fabic blue before america was discovered.
