this is THE most incredible WWII shooter, its got this really emotional in depth story that just draws u in, its like no other WWII shooter thts been made before.
I thought this game looked great,still does...the level of detail was insane,even the leaves on trees and apples,roads etc looked real realistic.
Character models looked a lil funny though. but no way did any of it look "terrible" as he sais in this video,its one of the prettier games of this generation.

If you throw a grenade where they can see it they try run away from it,looks cool sometimes because a grenade kill cam will go off,everything lows down aas you watch their limbs blow off in all directions,doesnt happen everytime though.if its thrown say behind them where they cant see it,they dont always know its there.

So, it is unrealistic when the enemies are unfazed at that kind of instance.
good to still remember the 80s. when we didn't care about graphics, no no, we cared about the GAMEPLAY. i still think its more important to be a fun game than a good looking game :D

I just finished playing this game 5 mins ago. What can I say. A beautiful game indeed. It was 3 times better than the first game. The AI and graphics were better. Plus, it was literally twice the length of the 1st title.
It was amazing and I recommend this game to anyone with a hard-on for 1st person shooters.

This guy obviously did not play the previous 2 games to have a complete understanding of the story (the emotional aspect of it). I run the game on full settings - 1920x1080 resolution - on my pc and the game has amazing graphics today and especially during its release (looks a lot better than any cod game out today). The squad misbehaves once in a blue moon, but not to the point where its frustrating. The only thing i can agree with is the solo aspect to the game. The most under rated game seen.
Very good game. Most epic WW2-cutscenes, the tactical element, and your own intervention with one good headshot can save the fight. And to top it off, sweet slowmo bullet in the face, helmet flying killcams. Or just bazooka the hell out of a nest and watch the enemy fireteam pieces scatter.
Yeah its not perfect but its probably the best WW2-FPS thinking about the realism and immersion.

@Choppr777 Yep, 2005, and also that year is when games first started using 3D foliage and flowers in-game, yet COD2 didnt have this. Hell even today most games use 2D grass, ect in games, 3D foliage and flowers eat up too much memory and often lower framerates, which is why most games have 2D flowers/grass, it also gives smoother frames, and cleaner, smoother gameplay. This review has no room to criticize, when most games out there have the same "problem" with 2D foliage

Imagine, Brothers in Arms: Hamburger Hill, or Brothers in Arms: Operation Just Cause, Brothers in Arms: Desert Storm, Brothers in Arms: Operation Anaconda. All the historic events faithfully recreated rather than the bullshit phony crap of COD and MOH.

No game...ever..has made good looking plants, so why complain about them here? This game looks fine to me. The only thing I hate is how you cant get hit by bullets UNLESS you are out of cover (well, most of the time). It looks very weird when right when you pop out of cover, you're shot. Complaining about scripted moments and the LIKE CALL OF DUTY?! That's just messed up, big time. Call of Duty is almost entirely scripted throughout the singleplayer.

One of the most disappointing sequels I've ever played. I don't know what happened during developement, but this is 10x worse than the previous games.

@GamersTimes that's nothing compare to what other game developers had done in the modern age, e.g dice had to make frostbite 2.0 for their awesome game, bad company 2; hell's highway had a brand new paint job by gearbox as well as modify their cover system, even iw had to rebuild and modify their engine from the ground up . But all treyarch did was did some new models and guns, with same crap graphic engine, same poor shitty hit detection and expect to ride with the bad dogs? i don't think so.

This guy obviously did not play the previous 2 games to have a complete understanding of the story (the emotional aspect of it). I run the game on full settings - 1920x1080 resolution - on my pc and the game has amazing graphics today and especially during its release (looks a lot better than any cod game out today). The squad misbehaves once in a blue moon, but not to the point where its frustrating. The only thing i can agree with is the solo aspect to the game. The most under rated game seen.

Very good game. Most epic WW2-cutscenes, the tactical element, and your own intervention with one good headshot can save the fight. And to top it off, sweet slowmo bullet in the face, helmet flying killcams. Or just bazooka the hell out of a nest and watch the enemy fireteam pieces scatter.
Yeah its not perfect but its probably the best WW2-FPS thinking about the realism and immersion.

Clearly they know this game is a work of art, and one of the greatest FPS (2nd only to the first BIAs) of all tme, and beats the hell outta their precious COD, so they go and TRY to make it look bad (FLOWERS?!?!?! REALLY?), but in reality it only makes THEM look like jealous immature nooblets who cant admit defeat.

@Choppr777 Yep, 2005, and also that year is when games first started using 3D foliage and flowers in-game, yet COD2 didnt have this. Hell even today most games use 2D grass, ect in games, 3D foliage and flowers eat up too much memory and often lower framerates, which is why most games have 2D flowers/grass, it also gives smoother frames, and cleaner, smoother gameplay. This review has no room to criticize, when most games out there have the same "problem" with 2D foliage

2. The Graphics are amazing, you deliberatively picked out the flowers to make make the game look bad, it's flowers for god sake not a big deal.

When they're done with World War Two. Brothers in Arms needs to go into Vietnam and the modern era, so they can kick Call of Duty and Medal of Honor's asses all over again! Imagine, Brothers in Arms: Hamburger Hill, or Brothers in Arms: Operation Just Cause, Brothers in Arms: Desert Storm, Brothers in Arms: Operation Anaconda. The plot focuses on a non-existant conflict (General Hagenbeck, commander of Operation Anaconda, was given a blank check in terms of assets at his disposal) between field commanders and politicians, and replaces genuine heroic (sticking you head over a wall to try and locate enemy positions) with cowboy antics (sending two SEALs to fight off a mountain full of insurgents).

No game...ever..has made good looking plants, so why complain about them here? This game looks fine to me. The only thing I hate is how you cant get hit by bullets UNLESS you are out of cover (well, most of the time). It looks very weird when right when you pop out of cover, you're shot. Complaining about scripted moments and the LIKE CALL OF DUTY?! That's just messed up, big time. Call of Duty is almost entirely scripted throughout the singleplayer.
